Delegating

You are working with a group of quite a few people, say 20, to setup a party but there are a few missing bodies. So, how does the group decide who to choose to be take on the important role of organizing the giant party? Oh, of course! Duh, one of the missing bodies! Damn straight because they know absolutely nothing about the party itself, being missing from the gathering and all. There's no need to consider what kind of person they are or their opinion for that matter. In fact, hey, that missing body can decide not to participate or show up to the party because, really, what would the party mean to them if they didn't even show up for the gathering to begin with. Alright, that's what you call being responsible people! That's how big kids decide and do things around here! Now, where's that party...

Holiday Part-Timers...

I had the most frustrating phone conversation today.

I called up this jewelry store for my mom today to ask for the availability of this particular ring she was looking to get. It was unavailable at the closer location, so this lady kindly wrote down the details of the ring for us.

This is where it begins. I called up the other location... I get an obvious heavy Chinese accent salesguy on the other side. It starts off as usual, I enquire about the ring that was shown in their catalog. He disregards my question completely and instead asks me what my name was. And I was thinking, don't waste my time guy, and so I asked back, "Why do you need to know my name?" He answers it helps him serve me better. Grr okay fine, I give him a name, and then he goes into a full introduction of himself. AMG.

He continues, "So how can I help you today?"

"..." I thought, I already told you when you first picked up.

Okay, he asks me for more information about the ring, say, how it looked like.

Okay, wait, what was this serial number the other lady at this other location wrote down for me?? Apparently, the number is largely USELESS. And better yet, the "name" of the ring written down for me said, "10KW FANCY RING". Apparently that wasn't the NAME, in fact, it was a "description" the other lady probably wrote down that only SHE understood.

So here we have one or two useful clues, it's 10K and it's white. Obviously not enough information for the salesguy. So I went on saying it was a thick band, with jewels only on the front, and had small jewels etc... Again, he ignores what I say, constantly saying, "I'm sorry, I do not know which one you're talking about."

Well, sir, if you listened, maybe you would know.

He asks me for the first few numbers of the serial again. And he then asks me where the ring was located. I told him it was located at the front of the store and he was like "no, that area's 438," my ring being 418.

"That was where it was at the Richmond center location."

"Are you a salesperson working there or a customer?"

"..." Would I not address myself as a salesperson at the beginning of the conversation if I really was one? "No, a customer."

Then he prompts me to tell him where I saw it in the christmas catalog. 3rd.. 4th page maybe, I didn't remember.

"3rd page are all coloured."

"Then 4th page."

"No, there isn't any 10K white jewelry on this page."

Holy shit then look for yourself FOR ME, why don't you.

He gives me the description of a completely different ring. No, didn't the information I've given you already tell you enough that it's completely white??

He then throws a question at me, "Is it a channel ring?"

The first thing that crosses my mind was, you mean that ring in Tales of Destiny I had no idea what it was for? Channeling ring was it?

Mister, don't use terminology your average, typical jewelry-dumb customer would not know, so I ask "What's a channel ring?" And he tells me to ask a sales person what it was. I was like, uh, I'm not at the store right now... so he goes onto explaining it.

NO, it's not a channel ring. I JUST said the jewelry is only on the front half.

He asks another question using terminology I didn't know, though I don't remember what the word was (started with a g). The word had to do with whether the jewels were small or big. I already said they were small the first time.

So... this rant being longer than I expected, he finally did find the ring and kept it on hold. Judging by the time he got off work, he was a part timer for the holidays. So perhaps it was a good thing I didn't get to see who he really was. Dear Allen.

The actual ring, btw, looked like total crap. Didn't end up getting it.

Everywhere you look there's an angel... or a devil. People get more uncreative year by year. The girls either think that they're soo innocent they deserve a halo and a pair of shabby wings while those who dress up as devils think that they're so bad, evil and nasty. Ugh, dumb.

Sacha brought up the akakon topic again and aghhh, I don't have a frickin' sewing machine nor the frabric needed, so what kind of dork am I!?! I want to cosplay so badly, SO BADLY I TELL YOU! And as well, the person that is to go with me thinks she can't go! What a burn for me.. >_<

I suppose the day didn't turn out to be as bad as expected.. though it was kinda low. First I woke up late for first class.. which was fine. Then came the Bio test I did not study for at all. It was alright until the Math test came along. The Math test was actually rather easy, except for the last page where it asked for these weird problem solving questions I didn't seem to understand... Anyway, for the speech for Socials, it was a total mess. Though it was a mess, others seemed to do worse than we did XD ... Janet was nervous and skipped all the specific parts of the explaination of our poster and skipped Sean's part! Agh, dammit. -_-

I got off early because I had to do another photo drop trip. Wandered around the mall and when we were going home some SOB black kid thought he could throw a rock at our car and get away with it. Psh, and he purposely did so because we were asian! We even let him cross the road and he dumps his crap on us. So we got off and yelled at the mudder frudder and he even CHALLENGED us, but he got away because his bus came. STUPID NIGGER! RACIST MY ASS, GUYS LIKE THEM SHOULD GET BEAT UP. >=(

My Bro is the official SOB of the day. He was home all day, so he hogged up both the internet line and his new computer. I guess he'd have the right to his own computer but he didn't fucking get off the damn phone line. I even tried to get my dad to get him off, but he wasn't even taking me seriously and neither did my bro. So that prick decides not to comfort me with his "nice" words like.. "hey, I'll let you use it in a bit".. instead, he goes off playing Rollercoaster Tycoon for the whole night and going to bed right after, NOT disconnecting from the 'net. I told him I was playing that stage (Bumbly Beach or something).. and he still kept playing. But seeing the fact that his park management sucks, I bet I'll get the better score (cuz I was almost done with the stage until the bastard kicked me off). Damn ho, I had to go cut off his connection by using my computer to repeatedly try to connect.

ENOUGH of him.... >_< I had a blast this morning sailing in the dreaded rain, wind and cold. The weather conditions were so bad, we had to wait a bit before the rest of us got to go out in threes. Our wetsuits were all nasty, sandy and still sorta wet (what's with me and three word descriptions today..) from the day before. And didn't really fit all that well. At first, we all hated it and wished we could have not come because of the weather. Though while we waited, we stood in the water, freezing our butts off and attempted to avoid big, pointy and jagged rocks and shells below the surface. When we got our turn though, I went in one with May and Clarence (sp..). We did good at first until for some reason, Clarence falls in. The second time around, I probably held onto the rope too tightly, which caused the whole sail to flip. My clothing weighed me down as we all tried to climb back in, and somehow we successfully did. But after that, it was really cold and I couldn't stop shivering. When we got back to shore, since Clarence had enough of capsizing. Der just came (since he and Allan came late), so May and I went for it again with him. We got scared of him being in the sail with us (since he knew nothing =_=), so we didn't stay long anyway.

In annual, Sacha, Brian and I didn't want to do what we were supposed to do, so we kept playing around with the CD Rom drive by throwing tacks in. The machine wouldn't stop opening and closing after that... XD Afterwards, we also surfed around and found a madlibs page and created some pretty messed up entries using our names. We had fun laughing our heads off. ^o^

PE was HELL today. I usually love Badminton but I unfortunately was partnered up with the person I HATE THE MOST! ALEX WONG!!!!!!!!

*falls into a dark pit*

We had a class tournament today so we were forced to have co-ed partners. UGH, as if there's something wrong with my magnetic field, I magnitized the wrong GUY. He came over, so I quickly looked around for free guys but agh, I was too bloody late. Throughout the games, he kept commenting on the most pathetic things (don't want to go into the details of that), couldn't stop talking, couldn't rip off his gay smile, and he totally sucked! I detested him the first day I met him! Maybe we'll be forced to stay with the same partners in the next class.. uwaaa.. ;___;
