Busy November.

First snowfall this week. I tried so hard to delay (and even avoid) the purchase of winter tires but I gave in hearing all the snowfall warnings. I'm glad I did get a set though seeing it really DID fall and there's still plenty of crazy drivers out there... crazy as in still driving at insane speeds regardless of road conditions. Funny enough, the roads were a lot emptier once the snow stuck. The drive home was quite pleasant 'cept very cold. The snow did come and go now that the weather's slightly warmer, the rain's been pouring like mad. I imagine we'll be seeing more snow later next month though.

I've finally submitted my JET Application earlier this week. I decided against sending it too close to the application deadline date (Nov 30) just in-case of unforeseen problems. I went through about 4 draft overhauls, more than I've ever done on any academic paper. I definitely wouldn't of gotten to my final version without the support of my English proficient friends (yeah you know who you guys are). Now that it's over and done with, I can get on with my next task - my portfolio. I'll have to try and not think about it for another 2 months before the next dreadful hurdle called the interview. :|

Amazon.com is the evilest POS (hint: not point-of-sale). They had a vid game promo for a buy 2 get 1 free and I somehow splurged. A week later some those games go on sale for even cheaper. UGH. On its way up the border, customs got a hold of it and literally attacked my special Record of Agarest War limited edition. No, sorry to disappoint but there's no bombs in the shape of oppai mousepads in there.

My porn has been spoiled. :(

Work's been a bit hectic. We recently (two weeks ago) opened a new location in Coquitlam and then followed to get robbed the next day. We also got a new POS (point-of-sale) system which we launched in the same month as all these happenings which is also a great POS (not point-of-sale). Outdated, unintuitive, slow, unfriendly, unreliable (crashes)... everything you'd want in an efficient software of the 21st century.

And so November comes to a close in a few days.

PS: Monsters is such a shitty movie. Don't watch it, even if's free!

Two Thousand and Nine

Happy 2009! A happy new year it is!

My NYE celebration happened at Mike's place as usual. I got there at 7 to join in on the dinner gathering. I figured I would park on the side of his house so it would be easier to leave later that night. I turned in a street prior to his and lo and behold, I was welcomed with and unpleasant amount of snow to drive through. I had difficulty turning as I kept getting stuck so I kept going straight until I hit the next big street. From the big street I turned into his and when I finally got to his place, his streets were in no condition to park on at all. I saw Pat get stuck coming the other way so I stayed with him until we saw Keith come by to tell us he parked on the big street instead. I took that advise and drove out to park on Granville as well. I walked to his place, sliding on all the black ice possible on the sidewalk, fortunately not PKing.

When I finally got there, it seemed that a number of people were also stuck as well. So after about an hour delay, we finally had food and then started drinking. Surprisingly, time flew pretty fast and midnight approached quickly. Everyone stayed alive for the countdown which was nice. I had a Flaming Dr.Pepper for the first time and it actually tasted like Dr. Pepper like wow! XD It was pretty yummylicious.

At around 1, after a few more shots, we watched Ping-Pong Playa just for the silliness of it (and the fact that it was Ping-Pong, which Eric loves ;b). I started to get a headache about then, so I listened to most of the movie and watched the ending. Man, the main character is fugly.

I stayed until 4am before I knew I was alright to drive. I was then informed that it was snowing again outside. OMG. When I got to my car, there was already a huge layer that formed on my car. I took a while to clean up all the snow that piled up on my car. A lot of sliding occurred on my drive home. When I finally did get home, the neighbour's car blocked my garage and the snow in front of the house was rather high for me to park on. I found a spot in front of another neighbour's place though. I left a note when I got home for my dad to help park my car for me because I knew I wasn't going to wake up the next morning.

I hate you snow.

Winter Break Thus Far...

I'm about 2 weeks into my winter holiday and it has been quite eventful this whole time. There was a lot of chauffeuring and errand doing.. there was a bit of hanging out here and there.. then I try to squeeze in as much gaming as I can (you'd think I'd be able to get to do this the most...).

It's been snowing like mad as of late. In fact, it's snowing some more now. It'll be a white Christmas indeed but it's rather inconvenient for traveling in. I walked in it the other day from Victoria & 41st to Knight & 57th and it wasn't as bad as I thought. It was late that night and it wasn't snowing at the time, so it was nice and peaceful. I also had a great evening with the ^2 gang that night, having crappy bubble tea and spicy hot pot.

Watched "Yes Man" on opening day the other day during the coldest day (negative 12 degrees celsius) of the season. I actually wanted to watch the Despereaux movie about the cute CG rat but we gave into Jim Carrey instead. The movie was alright... I've kinda lost interest in the guy, just as for Will Smith.

Just today me and my brother decided to hook up the old TV that's been sitting in the living room with the plasma so we can essentially play at the same time. I originally thought the TV was unpluggable due to the lack of plugs we have back there (the power bar already has to handle the plasma, 360, ps3, ps2) but there was a free socket on the other wall I never noticed. Now my beautiful ps2 graphics look so much more proper on a normal tv rather than the widescreen plasma. I also don't have to worry about the game burning itself onto the screen with its automatically placed black borders. The downside is that my brother talks a whole damn lot when he plays when I'm around in the same room as him. He's recently started tackling my Resistance 2 as a medic so he can't stop complaining about other players and complimenting himself about how great of a player he is *rolls eyes*. I'm gradually getting used to it by zoning him out and focusing on my game. At least this setup is good for when we need to play the ps2. This'll work until I need to switch back to HD gaming.

I also want to make a snowman. But not by myself.

I can't find anyone who wants to do it with me.

Except a friend who lives across the continent.

XBL and AGH SNOW

It's 3AM and it's the weekend.

It's been a rather unexpected so far.

First, Kozu somehow convinces me to use a 48-hour gold trial for XBL with him Friday. He should been studying, but that's another story. My timing and his turned out rather bad on Friday, so I ended up not playing with him at all. Instead, I ended up playing Gears 2 and Castle Crashers with Derek (I guess I'll call him by his real name now?) until 4am ish. I was surprised we (and the rest of the team) shredded through normal horde waves up until wave 39.. that was when we all died all of a sudden.

The next day, I suddenly had the urge to play Fable 2. So I ripped that out and was going to go online with Neku but with Kozu's bad timing, I ended up playing Gears 2 again. This time, we tried everything else but horde which was rather interesting.

My original plan for the weekend was Wild ARMs, MegaTen and L4D but now I don't know how my Sunday is going to be like due to the following...

Second, SNOW. WUT THE FFFFFF is going on. WHY IS IT SNOWING! We were planning on watching BOLT Sunday (John Travolta! and funny pudgy hamster in a ball!), but now with the snow packing, I don't see that happening anymore! I absolutely hate driving in the snow. Though... I still do need to drive my mom tomorrow morning so I'll still need to venture out into that nasty white stuff. Speaking of which, I should head to bed so I can wake up tomorrow.

Crunch Time!

Oooh it's the last week (+1 day) of school! Excited? I'm not sure. There's quite a bit to do though... project for Wednesday, essay for Friday, another project for Monday and THEN it's over. I got scheduled to work lots on the weekend too... it's gunna interfere with my Monday project. Not to mention, the rest of my Christmas break! Oh how I wish I didn't need to work... there's so much backlog (that I keep mentioning >_>) to do! *head to desk*

Oh yeah, it's December!

The crazy snow fall last week closed the school down for that Monday. Then classes resumed the day after (boo)... the roads were all slippery and icy. Freaking annoying to drive in... especially when trying to park back into the garage... I always got stuck. >_<

Last Friday we had Simon's early birthday slash goodbye hotpot dinner. Um, I stunk like perfume that night (yay for work!). There were plenty of people doing their last-minute essay editing. A few rounds of MJ... Cooking Mama! And the strangeness of Trama Center.

Oh, I also caught a nasty flu on the weekend too. I had hell trying to do my final exam Friday morning as I was dripping everywhere! XP Then I fell dead Saturday night and only started to get better today...

But...
We arrive at school to find that the power's out. We did today's lecture and class in the lightless, heatless room. Everyone had to wear jackets. Later on in the class, we began to panic when it started to get darker in the classroom (as the sun was going down). Tomorrow's a computer class. I wonder if they'll get it up by then? They should.

I also hit 74 for BRD the other day. Then I attempted to try out BLU but had too much trouble trying to LEARN FRI#*$KING SPELLS so I'll be dropping that one and trying COR.. probably. I've had constant invites for mana burn parties (from the same guy lol) which brought me up to 74 pretty quickly. It was actually my first time in a BLM mana burn party that time so it was pretty fun.

Chocobo Mazurka is love <3.

.. and RIP to my first chocobo.

Come on 1.Red/2.Black/3.Blue chocobo...!!!

S-N-O-W!!

It's the end of November... and it's SNOWING!
This insane weather starts off on Friday after school when I got to get off early by like 2 hours! just to be greated with a sudden shower of hail. Then it follows with a peaceful yet extremely chilly nightfall. A fellow classmate held a class gathering at her place that night for some drinking and just some good ol' mingling. I arrive rather 'late' (she said to start at 8), arriving at 9 and yet I end up being one of the firsts to show up (second, to be precise). Then I get constantly attacked by her roommates' dog until more people began showing up... that was when he diverted his attention to the other people. People came and went... more people stayed then leave of course. Another classmate brought some awsome homemade pudding that was a mix of macadamean (sp~!) taste and some sort of strong alcohol. Nonetheless it was very good. I fled early [~12am] (because I could).

Saturday -- it was FREEZING. I woke up early for an interview as a perfume demo (who would've thunk it!) and well I got it o_O. Work starts Thursday. Most, if not all, of my shifts are from Thursday to Sunday. Byebye to my weekends~

The pressure is on...!

I return home and join my bro in Dynamis for once. It was weird cuz he'd be in the other room screaming at me about what to do >_>... "CURE *****!" "RAISE *****!" etcetc... Mmmm kinda annoying actually. And yeah, there were no af drops throughout the whole run. Probably the second time it has ever happened... And during all of this.. the snow began to build up.......

After Dynamis ends disappointingly, I was then welcomed with a big blanket of snow outside. Not to mention COLD TOO. I made my way to Mike's housewarming party. I find the place without trouble... and with no furniture. I walk in to see a big circle of people playing poker. Eh. The others were just playing silly drinking side games in which I joined in... A bit later, more people show up and we just talk.. then we had CHEESE with crackers and high-class Italian liquor. Had some balloon fights, pudding, chip mixing (inside joke >_>), Mac ranting (only me vs. 2 pro-Macs >_>)... and then we went for bubble tea. LOL? Yeah talk about a drinking party right. We charged into Bubble World 5 mins before they closed, ordered and fled. Long time no bubble tea~ and it was good :33

I woke up half dead... and sleeping in too much. And so the snow continues to fall... I didn't leave the house today. Had fried chicken for dinner. Died 3 times in party today. The JP PT was overambitious and led me to confusing Mamook territory and then confronting a Popoggo! TRUE SOUND WTF! EVIL LITTLE FROGS WITH PARTY HATS! *motions angrily* FIST.

It doesn't look ilke the snow's gunna stop anytime soon... My guess is that there's no school tomorrow but it hasn't been frickin' announced yet. C'mon Kwantlen! What are you waiting for! Every other school has! There's no way I'll be driving to school in THAT weather tomorrow!!

I just came back from a haircut. Hee.

So, the new classes of this semester...

Had to wake up early first thing for Japanese, to find all the same students from last semester (duh). Except, there's four (and a 1/2) new guys: a white skinny guy that reminds me of Anthony in my Japanese class back in High School (with the low voice n stuff), Brian that's actually FROM our HS (that knows both Korean and Japanese, why is he there :P), a not-so-pretty-girl with one of those "must-suck-up-to-teacher-every-class" attitudes, and the most adorable small kid that looks like he'd be in elementary school or junior high. When he speaks, he has that whole child-feel/voice that makes you wanna bear-hug him! XD

I unluckily got a boring-as-hell teacher for Geo. He'd put me to sleep every class. Even the students at ratemyprofessors.ca say so, lol! Monotone voice... doesn't have any enthusiasm, he's old, and rambles. And it's in those lecture halls I hate.

Same English teacher as last semester. Just because I don't trust any other teacher. Though, I'm quite worried about the way she's going to mark us. Knowing every student last semester (including myself) dropped a letter grade after finals. Worried sick. And essays. She's picky about writing style.

Marketing. Woohoo. The teacher's chubby and likes to whistle. He's coool. I've got quite the interesting group with me for my first few cases. More on them later.

First part of Psychology. The teacher's funny. Sometimes he tries too hard though. Apparently I haven't done any reading yet. The class average for the first quiz was 2/10. Highest was 7 and I got 3. Yes!

---

Crazy snowfall on the second day of classes. School was canceled in the MIDDLE of the morning! I went to my first class, Japanese, to find that the rest of the bloody day was cancelled! The snow was already piling like frick, and I had to BUS HOME. The rest of the school was also cramming their way into the buses to get home as well. I had to wait for 7 buses before it got to my turn. When I got to Knight St, I waited an hour, and no bus came. I started to notice people walking up and down the street in groups, so soon I got the message to find there were no buses coming down Knight Street. So I walked the rest of the way. Took me 3 1/2 hours to get home, when it usually takes 15 minutes only. Makes you wanna break something. Like some buses.

Went out last Friday with Jo and Amy. Went to sing K at Di Da Di. Had McDonalds for breakfast and lunch. Mmm.. fish. Apparently the other hongers came for K a few hours after we did and had a room beside ours. We sang lots of English songs and Amy stuck with her Chinese. The Japanese section still sucks as hell. Gee, I'm starting to not find K as fun anymore.... maybe because there's nothing that I could sing. *sniff* We went to visit Eleanor's crew at a Taiwanese restaurant at Continental rather than eat with them, for various reasons... Mainly, because I wanted to see who this Shuu character they kept talking about. Eleanor didn't seem that happy when we got there so we left as soon as we could... We're gunna try out the newly renovated Pearl Castle next week. :O

In FFXI news... I got a few advance jobs. I tried Beastmaster... today. Meh, I think I'll try Bard next.

And in Kidd.Nu news... I made some major updates in the past few weeks. .hackers gets a makeover, Hibiku gets rotated, Sora E gets updated, Blackwings.net also gets a cool makeover, fanlistings get updated... kiddnu needs a makeover, and so does this bloody blog. This layout makes me sick... XP I'm gradually getting there...

I love move's most recent single, 'Blast My Desire'! I'm going to put it in my mp3 rotation next. :D!

Miraculously, it snowed like crazy today. Just days before the beginning of Spring, it SNOWS. At times, the snow was thick, then it became wet and showered, blowing around like mad; it alternated back and forth. My friend phoned me up and urged me to go do their little movie thing again. Due to the snow, and my lack of interest (considering I followed them a few times, wasting bundles of precious time and I was only used ONCE), I didn't know at all. Well because of my choice, I got replaced by this other d00d.

I lost track of time, or so it seems. I came across an actual online "Go" network. Just like the one in Hikaru no Go. "Wooooooowwwwwww", it's fun o_O. 'Cept I got creamed by another n00b beating me by one friggin komi, and because I had to give up in the middle to get away from the computer (boo~). O_O Find me if any of you guys ever decide to Go with me under 'dejiko'. ^_^

Snow fest 2002! XD It snowed all night and all day, resulting in a thick layer of snow covering all of Van! I had to help with the shovelling though; one hell of 'va job. But the huge amounts of snow were nice for a change ^^ ...
