Happy Chinese New Year!

The start of the new [lunar] year has already been quite interesting...

First it starts off with the Bad when I spill my precious breakfast soup all over my arm, all over the floor and splattering and hitting everything within 3 feet. And the funny thing is... I said to myself ONE SECOND before spilling, "I better not spill this." ANd ahaha.. then SPILLLLLL!
[[*cries to self*]]

Earlier today, after work, my parents and I went car testing. We ended up putting down a deposit...! I would think we would put this off a bit longer since this is quite a big commitment. But then again, all I'd do is put it off forever.

*still needs time to breathe*

Powder! Mail! Gaming! Yay!

There's so much going on lately... it's hard to keep track of everything.

Ahem...
Big White 2006!
Well well well... this year's Big White trip was very, very interesting. First off we didn't go with any clubs... in other words, we DROVE there ourselves. (I actually didn't know that until a few days before...) We drove there with a car mini-van that wasn't equiped to drive long distances but it's not like we really had a choice. Not to mention, the driver himself's not very stable himself >_> (aka. crazy driver). So mapquest said it would take us 4.5 hours to get there, that is without the traffic and etc... The actual trip there took 7 hours! We left Vancouver at 5PM due to everyone's delays. The drive across the Coquahalla HWY and this other highway was pretty freaky: the friggin most bloody THICKEST FOG EVER! So thick we couldn't even see in front if us! Despite all the "Warning: Weather Changes!" signs, there was no other way to get there. ;_;

Well... during the drive, I listened to the I've Pop Talk Jam radio programs that aired before their Budokan concert that I never had a chance to listen to. (キィー I wish I could've gone..;) So much has been revealed to me after listening to them.. hahahaha like wow MELL is OLD. :b And Utatsuki Kaori's is soooo adorable! No wonder everyone says she's so cute! And I've come to like SHIHO more mainly because of her awsome work being the DJ. Anyways, there were so many other radio programs I wanted to listen to but the I've Pop Jams took up all my time (1hr PLUS PER PROGRAM! There were 9 programs in total.. I listened to the first two at home already.) I often had to rewind and relisten to some parts since for some reason Takase-san and Nakazawa-san (and Utatsuki Kaori, or often just people, I guess, recording into the right side earphones) were too quiet and hard to hear. Anyways, everyone thought I was weird giggling and smiling to myself in the car.

We finally arrived at Big White at around 12AM. My room had the COOLEST CLOSET! Tony and I had so much fun with it LOL.. he has the pictures though :3 We all slept at around 2-3. We woke up at 7:30AM and got ready. The ski rentalers (aka. the skiiers aka. Tony & Phillip) went to grab their rentals and then we had breakfast. We had chunky for the whole trip. If it wasn't Chunky then it was Frosted Flakes. If it wasn't Frosted Flakes it'd be chips or bread. BREAD AND MAYO. BREAD, MAYO AND HAM. THAT'S IT. Silly bread people BROUGHT THE WRONG STUFF. Ugh, I had no choice but to let the guys do the shopping since I had to work... I'll be sick of Chunky for a while.

Here's a map for reference.

Snow pictures.

We finally setted out and we headed for our favourite area -- Black Forest! We were there all morning... until I decided to try out some tree weaving, I got split with my "partner" (which was Tony, he decided that himself) and stayed with Mike. Phew, tiring 'tis was. At 2:30-3, when the lifts were closing for the afternoon, we returned to our rooms. We had our late lunch (that is, CHUNKY) and watched TV. We flipped between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and Friends. Mike died on the bed (MY BED TO BE EXACT *FIST*) and everyone wasn't really in the mood to go out night skiing so we ended up not going. We Big2'd a bit and watched the National Figure Skating competitions on TV. I slept at 12 because of exhaustion and because of that I missed the DOUBLES COMPETITION!! Arrrrrr...

Waking up again, we packed up our stuff (already eh?), tossed them all into the car and headed to the slopes again. This time, we wanted to try something else -- Gem Lake! Boy was it a bad move. The "Ogo Slow" trail was indeed slow and LONG. We got there and took the lift up. The fog was thick up there because it was a lot higher up. We went down the Rainbow trail which was all just fog to me. When we finally passed the fog, we gradually splitted up (everyone was at their own paces). We [Me&Mike] got a radio from Tony, Simon and Phillip to meet up at the Powder Chair. Ok, so we took the lift back up again and was on our way down Village Way until we decided to try something new. Ya, that was the bad move. We ended up getting stuck between Blue Sapphire and Blackout. Well we didn't know we were there until a lot later. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to get out of the Sapphire Glades. It was hard and frustrating and tiring [Double Black Diamond, anyone?]. All the lifts closed at 3:15 and it was 3:05 when we finally got back to the bottom of the Gem Lake Express. THEREFORE we only had 10 minutes to get to Powder Chair and it takes the lift 10 minutes to get to the top (?!?!?!). Okay, we felt like we were doomed. When we got to the top, Mike sped before me to try and catch the lift people and convince them to wait for us. I arrived at the Powder Chair at 3:20/25 (I think) and THANK GOODNESS the patrol guys were nice enough to get the lift guy to wait. They even said they'd only wait a few minutes, so I arrived at the nick of time. Phew... felt like a life and death situation. But it doesn't end there!

We FINALLY arrive back at the village with everyone pissed off at us... yesyes, I'm truly sorry for being stupid. I felt really bad for making them wait but at the same time, glad that I was alive O_O. We packed and had to leave fast (we were 3 hours behind schedule)... On our way down Big White, we hit black ice and SPED DD;! No one in the car had any reaction to the accident which was kinda weird. We spun around and ended up facing the incoming traffic on the same side we came. Thank GOODNESS there were no cars, except behind us. And Thank GOODNESS we didn't fly down the cliff on the other side. I swear God was protecting us. Some nice guys helped pull us out. The front car wheel began to make noises... not pleasant noises at all. The guy who helped us told us it was only because we had snow stuck in there. We only hoped that was the only case. A bit behind us, another car slipped on black ice as well (me and Tony saw it happen o___o;). We safely arrived at Kelowna and checked the tires. The noises were gone but still.... I PRAYED LIKE...! Okay, even MORE behind schedule we STILL decided to stop and eat (why, such a stupid idea?) at Montana's in Kelowna. Crayons and Table = Love. We ate there too long... but we were filled up (it was 9PM by then, WTF!) then we went on our way again. Not even half way across 97c, the front left tire POPS! The hole was HUGE! AMG! WHY! HOW? Luckily Simon knew how to change tires. AMG! HOW DOES HE KNOW THESE THINGS? His spare tire wasn't a snowtire which was a little worrysome. Even MORE worrysome was it made more unpleasant noises. Mike was constantly paranoid and stopped often to check on the tire. We tried to get him to drive slow but obviously he wasn't very good at obeying. He even suggested that we stay over at Kelowna because of the situation (it's not like that would solve anything still). It was 11PM when the tire popped and we only just left Kelowna. Then for another 8 hours... we drove back to Vancouver. Tony and I put in a whole sh-t load of effort to keep Mike awake. He kept falling asleep and going off the road... holy sh-t, just thinking back about it again now scares me like fuck. The Red Bull wasn't keeping him awake and offered us the drivers seat... None of us trusted ourselves driving... especially when I started seeing things on the pitch-black road. Often I saw this guy running on the left side of us... I knew it was just the shadows but I guess due to fatigue I still saw a GUY sprinting like mad.

[Upcoming unpleasant rant: Beware.] By the time I got home (@4AM) I had to to go work (6AM) so I showered and unpacked my stuff. I accidentally closed my eyes about quarter to 6 and woke up late for work. >_>;;;;;; I arrived there LATE and the most fucking annoying customer was there early and greeted me with "Wake up sleepyhead" FUCK, I wanted to shoot his fucking ass. You don't know my situation so shut the fuck up! Then he went on blabbing to the security guy. Hey security guy, WALK WITH ME NOT WITH HIM. Ugh, I was so annoyed I just walked ahead of them instead. When I got there, I had to catch up on my opening procedures, so I asked the dumb fuck to come back when the office opens (which was 7). I managed to open 10 mins before the actual opening time and he comes back with his partner's towel that I handed out and told me to take it back because it wasn't 7 yet. I told him he could take it and I asked him if he wanted one too then he was like "It's not 7 yet. Oh, are you SURE? Are you REALLY SURE it'S OK?" Ok bitch, just fucking take the towel. Then another couple come out after their hour of playing and get all pissy at me saying "You told me to come back at 7, and you started giving out towels 10 mins before 7! You're just BSing me!" Okay, I don't know you nor do I have anything against you. I was able to open earlier for you bitches and you complain because you decided not to come back to get your fucking towel. Yes, you want to talk to my manager, then go, TALK. The fricking manager's always on YOUR side anyways. Ugh, don't get me started about my manager. [/end Big White 2006]

Onto more pleasant things....

My AIR GEAR 12 GENTEIBAN arrived in the mail~~ Oh~ Ringo's awsome! Her head's a lot heavier than the other Pinky:st's and she doesn't come with a stand so she keeps falling over. Then her hair extensions would pop out too... mmm... I don't have a place for her to stand yet. Oh Air Gear's being animated. *thinks about all the possible seiyuu* I wonder if Oh!Great would want Hoshi-sama to be the lead role again... that'd.. be.. AWSOME?!!? XD But that's too good to be true. Agito in the wedding dress with WINGS is awsome :3

I was THIS CLOSE to facing the Dynamis Lord the other day. Ah well, my bro came home so I had to hand it back to him to play. I think he said everyone ended up dying killing the Dynamis Lord this time though. Last time I watched him kill it though... that guy's HUGE! And when the heck is that expansion coming.. I wanna play with Blue Mage already. Anyways, screenie. :3

I also haven't found anyone to play Mabinogi with. No english players playing the Japanese version apparently. At least not on the same server (Rueri - ルエリ). Boo. But I love the fighting system. You should see the 'Smash' in action, it's literally an upper cut and the monster goes FLYING! It does some flips in the air and hits the ground miles away. Very cool stuff! I'll probably poke at this game some more before I toss it for another.

Oh that reminds me! I realized like two days ago that I finished Kingdom Hearts: CoM Sora's side without using any enemy cards at all. I would put them in my deck but I didn't know it wasn't automatically activated. I only found that out when I finally decided to start the Reverse Rebirth side the other day. I was already kind of confused why some of the "Auto Reload Deck" cards and the such weren't activating at all throughout the game. That was when I began taking one or two enemy cards out of my deck when I was killing the last boss. But I still didn't know why they wouldn't work... I felt soo dumb but at the same time amused that I finished it without them. That's what I get for living in a country that only sold me KH:CoM with only a bloody FRENCH MANUAL! Wait, did the tutorial even teach us how to use enemy cards in the beginning? I don't recall... Ah wells, fun stuff. It's going to take me another month to finish Reverse Rebirth at this rate -- only playing during car rides when I'm not driving which is only... once a week for 20 mins total or less only. Funny. I will eventually finish before KHII comes out, yep. I'll just need more car rides.

Animal Crossing: Wild World is very amusing. I found a SARS mask for Mo^2! I just need to find & buy more so we get our SARS guild up again. And get Shi^2 to play too to make the guild complete. It has gotten a little tedious now. Fishing, digging... villagers keep trying to leave and poking fun at you.

Random: My last Visa statement was negative! (y)

STAR ONIONS! RIGHT! I just read the news article about it.. I wanna gooooo! There'll be a Star Onions concert! Agggh can you imagine! Mizuta Naoshi'll be there! Tanioka Kumi (who I believe also did the FF:CC OST) did some good stuff on the FFXI OST as well... There'll be some people from The Black Mages crew too! mmm, sucks that they don't come up there to perform. And going down there NOW isn't an option >_>;;

I started compiling a list of things to get at SakuraCon (if we even go this year)... Mabinogi Nao 1/18 PVC figure, missing books of Gamerz Heaven manga, missing books of Erementar Gerad, Gundam Seed RGB artbook, Kami-sama "Taion desu yo" T-SHIRT I SAW ONLINE! OMG! [crap I didn't bookmark it...>_>;;;], and a number of sweet things I saw on Animate. And this time my first priority goes to getting a Sleeping Forest Emblem for sure this time. FOR SURE! THIS TIME!!

I'll also need to pick up this year's Kohaku this weekend. Gotta remember.

Happy 2006!

My first post of 2006.

Life is as eventful as always.

I haven't played MJ in so long, I almost attempted a chicken the other day.

I had to work New Years Eve morning. At night, I joined the House Party at Mike's place. We were so worried it wasn't going to happen this year.. but he managed to make it happen! So kudos again this year to him! The night was kinda insane... I mean, of course, the people were insane too. We had a unofficial bartender aka. Jo's Pat who made some funky random stuff. Mmm.. I think I spent most of the night playing MJ with Simon, Tony and ooh and new friend XAVIER! With all the distractions, we only managed to finish two winds [I think] and there were plenty of same turn wins... I think I held either the top or the second top spot for most $$ earned though. :3 After the countdown shots we all scurried back downstairs and we found ourselves amused with someone's soccer toy (the ones with the 3D arena and three soccer players stuck on each turnable stick). I think it became Tony&Me VS Elie&Xavier and we creamed them! We successfully fled early that night/morning... to get a good nights sleep, after all that excitement. :b

I've been attempting to get a DVD burner the last week. The one I requested from a particular store said they had it in stock but by the time I got there they didn't have anymore~!! Fine, it took me a WEEK to go [didn't have the time -_-;] and get it so I'm not THAT surprised they have no left but... toriaezu, I will keep searching for my burner. CDs nowadays are just so silly. I cry when I see them deteriorate.

So I finally have access to the GameCube again but guess what! The jumbo white memory card is full! My bro says he has a black one but we both can't find it. Boo. I swear this is just to make me finish that bloody Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories game.

Recently there was also an announcement for Wild Arms 5 or as I see it, Wild Arms The Vifth Vanguard! Mmm... right, gotta finish 3 and 4 and maybe play Alter Code too first. Aha... I'm so behind on games.

What other random things....

I followed my parents down to the states today for some good ol' shopping. Unfortunately they had to wait for me to get off work and them to finish church and I took too long [I lost track of time >_<;] so we went down a little late. The day felt a little rushed but we still got some things done. There were a bunch of places we wanted to go to but we didn't have the time... so the next time.

Oh about work:
Drunk security guard = NO good.
Security upgrades progressing too DAMN slowly = NO good.
Brain-Size-Of-Sesame-Seed Brainless Manager = NO, NO good!
