Happy New Years Eve!

On December 31st, 2006... Candace finally finished Wild ARMs 4.

Final verdict:
Story 2.5/5
Children and adults blahblahblah it wouldn't stop. Also the fact that [spoiler] everyone kept dying [/spoiler] didn't make it as sad as they wanted it to be. Maaaybe at the end when [spoiler]Jude had to kill his dad[/spoiler]. That hurt a bit.

Characters 1/5
AMG! The characters were ALL so annoying and UGLY, both good and bad guys. Somebody kill that character designer. The voices were horrible too. Lambda is, by far, the ugliest-haired character yet.

Music 4.5/5
I absolutely love the boss battle tracks. Not enough whistling though rofl.

Gameplay 3/5
I eventually got used to the new hex battle system. The map is too tiny and limited for my tastes. No millenium puzzles, that sucked. The puzzles weren't that challenging either. Neither were there that many sidesquests...

Overall 3/5
The game was short >_<; The cutscenes looked so much better than the still coloured pictures with the annoying comic book-style grids. Boring ending though XP... the last boss was so easy... gee, why bother. My game also glitched and froze a few times in the beginning too... Did I mention the animation quality was really bad for this one?

Ok, now that that's over... should I give FFX a try again? 3rd attempt? Maybe this time I'll get past the boring beginning for a change? I better get through that horrendous to-do list first before I start something new...

Post Merry Christmas!

The last week's been INSANE!

First I had 8 hour work shifts that took up all my day, then after work I'd have loads of stuff to do~

20th - Oakridge mall closed at 11pm every night and my mom had to work until closing that day. Unluckily, she also caught the flu and eventually lost her voice.. like literally gone. I only had to work till 8 that night, but Oakridge was DEAD so it didn't matter how late I worked!

21st - Worked till 6, then rushed to Queensborough for some SHOPPING (AHAHAHA~)... I got to use my postcard discount on Tommy and also checked out the other new stores (Mexx and Quiksilver). It seems the actual clothing outside the outlets are a lot nicer though... After some good ol' shopping that lead to closing @ 9, we ate at Alleluia (sp?) for some dinner. The waiter kept coming over to help us at our table even when he worked all the way on the other side of the restaurant.. lol, so cute XP

22nd - Until 6 again, rushed home to get ready for a giant family dinner at the "shack" restaurant. I call it the shack because the service sucks, the place is extremely shack-like (e.g. needs renovating), everything's dirty, at night there'd be shady, gangster-looking people that come in to eat and play MJ, and the food isn't all that great. But since it was the grandma's choice, we went anyways. -_- We waited 3 hours for food and they claimed they were "too busy".. Pfft... Like I said, the food wasn't spectacular so there were lots of leftovers. Though, I'll give credit for the good fish they made... that was it. And then we left smelling like the disgusting food we ate....

23rd - Last day at the Richmond branch. Business wasn't as busy as we all hoped. C'mon, it was 2 days before Christmas and the mall was DEAD. There was a wave of people that came in the afternoon but that was pretty much it.

24th - OMG CHRISTMAS EVE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BUSY.. you'd think. Worked at Oakridge that day and wow it was very beautifully dead there too... even moreso than Richmond. I didn't sell much unfortunately but had fun talking and slacking a bit lol. Last day -- who cares? :b Had dim sum with some of the cosmetic's people for lunch... Time flew pretty fast though since I ended up helping people find fragrances that weren't even my line (more fun that way anyways :b). I finished at 5 but the store closed at 6 so I hung around until my mom got off. Went home to be welcomed to a roast beef dinner <3

So! I'm a bit more knowledgable with fragrances now:

Men's Escada: smells like alcohol; vodka to be exact.
David Beckham stinks.
Phat Farm is just brand name, it stinks.
GUCCI is just brand name, it also stinks.
Faranheit stinks, I don't know why people like it.
Joop! smells like bubble gum.. gross.
Burberry Men's smells like old men.
They don't make Alfred Sung Pure anymore, sad.
J.Lo has like 5 perfumes.. why?
CHANEL Men's pretty disgusting.
Givenchy Men's is strong and gross.
Hugo Boss' Silver and Black ball-shaped fragrances are nice.
I saw Prada... probably stinks.
Women's Escada (the one with the girl on the cover) is really sweet..like crazy mangos..good at first, too much later.
White Diamonds is NASTY.
Sean Jean's is alright... never knew he had a fragrance line AND clothing line.
Nautica Voyage's is a nice, fresh scent.
Armani Code smells like detergent. Could be a good thing.
Issey Miyake Men's with the shiny silver top is nice.
Issey Miyake Men's with the non-shiny silver top is not that great.
DKNY's Be Delicious smells like weed.
DKNY's Be Delicious Red smells alright... too fruity.
Lacoste fragrances are all for brand name.. they aren't that great..at least they don't stink.
Never heard of Kenzo... it isn't that good.
B*Men isn't that great.
So isn't Angel.
Hilary Duff, your fragrance isn't that great.
So isn't yours, Britney Spears.
Sexual Men's and Women's smells like old people.
Vera Wang is alright. I like the limited edition with the shiny crystals inside.
CK's new euphoria's overrated I tell you.. but it isn't bad.

I've never heard of Corduroy but it's good and I was selling it.

I've also never heard of John Varvatos but it smells like Italian men and I was selling it.

I've also never heard of ZIRH but it looks like a pretty good skincare line and I was selling it.

25th - Happy Birthday, Christ! Had our annual awsome dinner at my aunt's place. Turkey, ham, OYSTERS (!), mashed potatoes.. mmm~

26th - Boxing Day. Attempted to shop, I swear. But I left empty handed.

Just received news my Wild Arms 10th Anniversary Fanbook is on its way! Still working on Wild Arms 4... ooh it's brutal. Jude, Yulie, everyone.. just die please. FFXI is still strong :3 My latest chocobo is GREEN! Just thinking of what to name him... I was thinking of 'Fat Ace' [/inside joke for those who know what I'm talking about XP] but then he wouldn't sound very cool now would he. I also attempted an Astral Candy recovery mission... We lost Besieged on CHRISTMAS DAY with ~200 ppl only. We went as a 3 party alliance -- all first timers at recovering -- and we so underestimated the three NMs XP... We barely even phased one. Ah well, fun times... at least it's been recovered when I went on yesterday.

Maybe I'll work once or twice a week in the next semester. First semester was nice without work but money was deadly tight >_<;;

Regarding my to-do list though... with only a week and a few days left.. I've accomplished barely anything. First priority ish probably old computer, then cleaning my room, then vacuuming the house, then maybe... just maybe... revamp my domainS while squeezing in gaming time, surfing time, eating time, hanging out time... At least I washed my car? (but frick I wasn't able to vacuum it cuz I couldn't find the extension cable)

I suck at this time management thing.

Don't you just love it when you're busy as hell during your only break from school?!

Anyways, life's a bit too eventful at the moment... as much as I like dynamism, it's beginning to be too much. Thank goodness (or maybe that should be 'Unfortunately'), I only have work until Christmas Eve. After that, it's dead for me. Maybe then I can actually catch up on the stuff I wanted to do for the past (uh..) half a year.

I recently broke the front usb ports of my tower. Go me. If I have the time (probably never) I'll see if I can replace it. So yeah, I messed up my current keyboard some more so I borrowed my bro's USB keyboard. As convenient (or inconvenient) as the front ports may be, I tripped over the damn cord and woosh, there flew the pieces of my usb plug. *head to desk/keyboard/tower* I am awsome.

At work the other day, I met some new sales associate in the fragrance department. Poor guy... Apparently, another fragrance demo girl invited him to join her for lunch. During lunch, she told him to meet her at the sushi store. He gets there and sees her sitting in the corner by herself at an obviously one-seater table. He notices that there isn't another seat for him to sit with her, so he shrugs and tells her he'll take a seat outside the store. She goes Okay and pretty much ditches him... in his face. Ouch. He comes back from lunch to tell me that D: and says he doesn't have many friends (cough) which is why he was really, really heartbroken when she did that to him. Aww!! That was mean though...

Boarding! I finally went boarding for the first time this season! And it was a horrible location at that! [/regrets buying Seymour pass] I purposely took a day off work (out of the few work days I have left) to go.. we end up getting there later than planned (from originally 10:30 to being 2:30ish =_=) because of other things that came up and things they decided to do on that day instead of another frickin' day. The runs were a bit icy and we ended up staying for night skiing so it was dark and creepy ~_~... There was only one run open at night too so it was kinda boring. The lifts were slow and tedious... the lift up took 10x longer than the run so most of the time went wasted, waiting to get up to the top. I got lost from the group after taking the wrong turn that brought me to a kiddy park and the entrance @#%%. The kiddy park rope (instead of a lift) was frickin' FAST! I had so much trouble just trying to get up the damn HILL! I don't know how the kids do it, but they're good XDD;; For the second half, I just went a few times by myself before I received an SMS and I suddenly remembered I received an SMS a bit before that. Apparently it was an SMS from the other group, telling me they were LEAVING. So I rushed down after that, after worrying them for a good half 'n hour, reported to the snow patrol even :X

I forgot I need new bindings.

Yesterday I hung out downtown with Simon. We originally wanted to [finally] try KINTARO but, we got screwed over again! We got there to find out [AGAIN] that they're closed on MONDAYS! Aahahahaha...ha.. We ate at Gyoza King instead. Ironically, everything there was really good EXCEPT THE GYOZA. We also visited an awsome art bookstore called Oscar on Broadway and Granville. If only we were able to spend more time there...! But parking is brutal and our plans were mainly Downtown so we left after a mere 45mins that only allowed me to go through TWO BOOKSHELVES (1/12 of the store?)... Not to mention the windy weather was insanely cold and painful to walk in. We did some good ol' window shopping after food... I DID find stuff I wanted (new stock, in fact), BUT they didn't have my sizes (go figure). Could be a good thing... I'm still quite financially unstable. The money I save will SOMEHOW have to be preserved until AX07. Insanely impossible. Not that I'm earning much to begin with (with the little hours I'm working..)... and I have my orders of manga goodness to fulfill and the occassional figurine here and there (*cough Wild Arms pinky:st*).

Agh why are we doing Dynamis-Windurst again.

Year 1, First Semester = 終了 FINISH

おめでとう?
The first semester has come and gone pretty quickly. Now's the start of a brutal one month break of WORK (wtf!). Oh how much I detest having to work... but knowing I'm seriously going to DIE if I don't work to get some money, I have no choice! The things I want to get! The things I need to do! The stuff I need to PAY! The insanity!

Ugh, I haven't been able to get some new bindings yet and I plan on going up this Saturday too... I really hope my current ones don't break on me up there. I'm giving up a days work to go up... now that I think of it, it's a bit of a waste of a precious work day. Can't turn back now! It just better be good! I haven't gone up this season and I'm itching to use my pass. I'm gunna feel so shit after my first trip though... Good ol' soreness for the next few days.. I can see it now.

A bit of a recap: The past week was, yes, the last week of school. Tuesday, handed in the last project for our computer class. It was a photo composition and manipulation project and the only pictures I had were really old crap from 2003, so I used those. Then I realized that my Adobe's colour colaboration's all off again! AGH.. another thing to add to the list of to-dos. Wednesday rolls around... handed in the last project for that class -- our sports logos. Oh how I hate paint and yet I ended up using paint as my medium. Friday, we all handed in our final essays. Ugh I had so much trouble condensing all my content (which, I guess, could be a good thing...) since my topic's sources were so resourceful. I got to the point when I didn't know if I was on topic anymore.. but I kept going anyways. I'm not THAT worried about this essay (even though it's 25%)... my overall average's pretty good in that class, so phew.

Over the weekend, I had to WORK. Worked at the The Bay Richmond for the first time. The staff there are rather nice in comparison to Oakridge's.. but at the same time, there are still staff that you can't seem to get along with. And another thing! The stock and supplies at the Richmond location were so lacking, it was deadly to my lines. I mainly lacked tester bottles and gift sets, which is like, pretty much all the necessities to sell my product. Woohoo. So I worked with what I was limited with on the weekend and spammed a bit to my rep. She hasn't replied to me yet so I don't know if I'll show up to work tomorrow with a face full of new stock. If not.. well... more death for me [and the company].

Oh, also over the weekend... I, who, for some reason, became blind for a split second [or more] couldn't see where I was backing into and ended up scratching the paint of my CAR. Such cruel fate. Oh how it must taunt me so. Something not pleasant for the wallet. I am now the new Sofa King.

[Happy] Monday flies in. I woke up early to do a bunch of errands in the morning then headed to the very last day of class. We handed in our wildlife park sign projects and presented our work based on criteria and the Instant Death system for evaluation. I was like... 1/2 into the first criteria before I got killed. At least my work smells like cinnamon~ (yay for Mr.Sketch!) After the lecture-ful last class, some of us headed off to go grab some munchies and drinks for the 'celebraion'-ish gettogether wrapup party (whatever it's called). We park by the wrong building [because of a particular someone] and we end up having to walk to the other building which was at the other end. We brought our portfolios for display and discussion and holy crap, were the portfolios impressive or what *_*! Made me kinda glad that most of my port is digital. I stayed until I was sober enough to drive home (which was 930-10ish.. so it was about 6 hours long).

Tuesday. A great day to sleep in. I wake up to realize I wasted the whole bloody day sleeping. Dynamis-Windurst'd until Mo2 and Braman came by to take a look at my basement. Looks liks she might be moving in in January~ XD

Agh I don't wanna work I don't wanna work I don't wanna work! *whine*

Ok I'm done. Touch on other things later. Gotta sleep... WORK tomorrow morning.

Crunch Time!

Oooh it's the last week (+1 day) of school! Excited? I'm not sure. There's quite a bit to do though... project for Wednesday, essay for Friday, another project for Monday and THEN it's over. I got scheduled to work lots on the weekend too... it's gunna interfere with my Monday project. Not to mention, the rest of my Christmas break! Oh how I wish I didn't need to work... there's so much backlog (that I keep mentioning >_>) to do! *head to desk*

Oh yeah, it's December!

The crazy snow fall last week closed the school down for that Monday. Then classes resumed the day after (boo)... the roads were all slippery and icy. Freaking annoying to drive in... especially when trying to park back into the garage... I always got stuck. >_<

Last Friday we had Simon's early birthday slash goodbye hotpot dinner. Um, I stunk like perfume that night (yay for work!). There were plenty of people doing their last-minute essay editing. A few rounds of MJ... Cooking Mama! And the strangeness of Trama Center.

Oh, I also caught a nasty flu on the weekend too. I had hell trying to do my final exam Friday morning as I was dripping everywhere! XP Then I fell dead Saturday night and only started to get better today...

But...
We arrive at school to find that the power's out. We did today's lecture and class in the lightless, heatless room. Everyone had to wear jackets. Later on in the class, we began to panic when it started to get darker in the classroom (as the sun was going down). Tomorrow's a computer class. I wonder if they'll get it up by then? They should.

I also hit 74 for BRD the other day. Then I attempted to try out BLU but had too much trouble trying to LEARN FRI#*$KING SPELLS so I'll be dropping that one and trying COR.. probably. I've had constant invites for mana burn parties (from the same guy lol) which brought me up to 74 pretty quickly. It was actually my first time in a BLM mana burn party that time so it was pretty fun.

Chocobo Mazurka is love <3.

.. and RIP to my first chocobo.

Come on 1.Red/2.Black/3.Blue chocobo...!!!
