So you'd think it'd suck to work on Halloween night when you could be out playing with explosives, getting drunk, or raiding houses for candy. Nope, not here! Not when you have a bunch of terrorists attacking our extremely vulnerable tennis bubble! Someone kindly cut open a fairly giant sized (~20inches in diameter to be exact) hole in our indoor tennis wall. Mmm excitement. In the back of my mind, I wish the ceiling came down... that would of been so much more entertaining. Slowly I realized (a lot later) that um, it's kinda dangerous here at work eh. Then I find the newbie security guy trying to unscrew something on the bike we have on display. The hell. Later that night, we get a code 9 (aka. hotel-wide emergency) an hour or two later. Too bad it was a false alarm. :b
Oh, I have to tell you about my most weirdest/eventful day of my life (thus far, that is). This one night, I went to bed early because I had to open the following morning for work. I had trouble sleeping and woke up abruptly at 1AM then fell back asleep. The next time I work up, I got up for work. I got ready and left. Before I left, I noticed my parents' room lights were still on. I was thinking... wow they're either really still awake so late or they forgot to turn off the lights. It was the morning after the end of daylight savings btw. While I was on my way, I looked at my car clock. It said 3:30AM. I was thinking 'Ah, the clock is incorrect.. we'll have to fix it for daylight savings is over.' It didn't dawn on me until I got off the Knight Street bridge and realized that the end of daylight savings means that the clocks are an hour ahead, not behind... and yes definitely not behind 4 hours. So, yes, I woke up 4 hours too early for work. I still didn't believe my car clock at first because I remembered hearing my phone alarm go off. So I checked my phone and the alarm icon was still there... meaning it didn't go off. So apparently, the alarm that went off was only in my dream. Since I was ahem, 4 hours too early for work, I drove back home laughing at myself. I got home and my mom came out and thought I went crazy because I was mumbling at myself for all the clues I saw this morning and yet it didn't hit me.
And it doesn't end there...
I got home... I didn't want to crawl back to bed so I kept myself busy with the computer (of course). Before it was time for work, I had to stop at an episode of Gravion Zwei when a male character (who was male for a season and a half!) is suddenly revealed as a big busty woman when he takes off his mask for the first time. Yes the answer was revealed later in the anime but I didn't watch it then, and I had to leave to work, knowing just that much. Freaked and disturbed I was, I headed off to work.
Finally on the right time this time, I arrived! I vacuumed the pool for a change. Well... I kinda had to too. I didn't mind much and strangely, I actually felt like doing it. I was wide awake then and felt really energized. Yay I was proud of myself. Soon after that energy disappeared though... well I only DID have about 4 hours of sleep. If that was even considered sleep.
Then I fell asleep 3 times throughout my shift. I don't usually fall asleep on the job btw. No one caught me though, because I'd wake up to the noise of their approach.
Then there was the 'retarded' maintenance guy who came, who filled the pool that didn't need filling so it went up a tile too much. He returns to drain that one tile he filled. Wth.
Then Mo^2 shows up really late (coughanhour) and I was hoping to go home early. I don't blame you Mo^2, don't worry about it. Just needed to mention it in my eventful day since it was out of the norm. :b
While driving home from work, I got pulled over by the police! XD Why? He said I can't turn left on Knight and 57th. Wtf! I live in that area and I always need to turn in from Knight street all the time so I know the regulation for when its no-turning on that street (7am-7pm Mondays to Saturdays). And it was a SUNDAY. Well at that time, I figured they changed the turning rules so I had to give in and duh I can't argue with the police. (Btw, I checked the day after, and NOTHING HAS CHANGED so WTF! WHAT WAS HE THINKING?? D:!) But it was an interesting (and frightening) experience.
Later that night when I had dinner with my grandma and family.... I couldn't hold my teacup. It just slipped out of my hand when I picked it up, making a lovely mess. Then it kept trying to slip out of my hand throughout the rest of dinner. It's not like it was wet nor was my hand so... I don't know. Silky skin? :b
Ok I think that's plenty eventful.
Now I'm waiting for some more goodies to come in the mail.
