「あ゛ー 忙しい忙しい…」
*drones like the overweight taste judge from Yakitate!!*
I've visited Loomis one too many times the past week, and I'm very much sick of the place. Our typography teacher (who also teaches our image development class) sends us to go buy materials needed for that class at that time right in the middle of class! Then after the class he gives us this giant list of other materials we'll need that are soo specific (+expensive) they're only available at certain specialty stores. And unfortunately for us, if you didn't want to buy it from our bookstore (which is overpriced 10x), you'd have to go to the other side of the city to grab the stuff you need. And so yes, I had to make a few trips (needing this, exchanging that, etc.) and having to go through the bloody TRAFFIC. If it wasn't for the bloody TRAFFIC, I wouldn't mind going down there a few more times even. But nooo~ there's the "Canada Line" construction shit going on, preventing you from turning left and right, they cut down 3 lanes into one, then there's the fricking SWARMS of CARS.. Agghaghh.. I won't be going down there again anytime soon (hopefully never again, but I doubt it...) I had to go through the worst traffic EVERRRR. I've come to appreciate the crappy traffic that Richmond has, compared to what I had to endure D:
So like, our typography/image development teacher is a drone. He goes on and on.. tossing in subtle jokes that no one laughs at. He's very vague with what he wants from us... especially homework. Everyone ended up going to class with something different.. because he wasn't clear enough on what he wanted. I rendered 6 different typefaces today (yes, drawing them by hand), it has taken me about 5 hours in total, and I'm still not done with his homework. That's how much stuff he gives us to do.. ~_~ His classes are the most busiest and the most expensive out of all the other teachers' classes. I fear it will be a looong year with him (well four, since I'll probably get him again every year).
The print production class is pretty slow right now. We were just taught the basics of Illustrator (gasp, it works just like Photoshop!) and the usage of vectors scare me... >_> Ok, I'm just not that used to them but I'm working on it...! And about the Macs. Wow I dislike Macs even mooooore. Wtf with the one button mouse (easily replacable I know), the "minimizing" of folders when you close them (can't seem to like that.. I want to CLOSE it not "MINIMIZE" it -- feels like it's never really CLOSED), the scrollbars (agh blue swirly of hate!), transparent backgrounds for applications (aagh there's a bloody hole in my application! >_<;;), this merging of toolbars at the top (which one's for which dammit?!).. ok there are good things too.. like the fact that there's a USB slot in the keyboard (very spiffy and convenient).. and... ah, that's all I can think of. Maybe not too many pros after all... my cons outweigh my pros, therefore I still dislike Macs. End of story.
Last is the "history" class. Pretty interesting so far... I hear we had to (or at least should) take notes... I haven't taken any yet.. hm, problem.
There's was an insane rain storm a few hours ago. It fell like there was no tomorrow, seriously. As if the sky was constipated all this time (that explains the blasting hot weather) and suddenly it had diarrhea. Well, the rain was so bad that our roof drainage wasn't draining fast enough and our house started flooding in. Our front door was getting soaked as the water poured in like whoa. The water was literally gushing through the door cracks. Thank goodness (or thank God actually) that it finally did stop though. That was some experience though. :] But it put our house into perspective -- it needs repairs.
And GASP @ the Squenix spread (specifically the broken armored) in the latest Jump mag
