後いう間～

In a blink of an eye, the end of May approaches and thus the 30 day countdown to AX begins (..in an hour). The month has blown by quickly... mainly because of the speed work has been.

As soon as work started up that week, everything was face-paced. I was thrown into design after design after design... The redesign of an application already established is quite a handful. Thy want a completely new look, workflow,... basically everything redone before they go into "commercialization" in mid-June (they're in beta right now). Basically, I'm the little (/big) bottleneck for their application, so they depend on me to get things started. However, it's unexpectedly really fun to do. I guess this is how it feels like to be in a career you like doing? :D (btw, google: Calgoo)

I'm finally watching movies (more frequently) again! Watched Spiderman 3 (full of sap) and Pirates 3 (omg, Orlando Bloom how come you look not-so-hot after your transformation?!)... Up next: Ocean's 13! What was ironic though... I had to drop my mom off at the airport @5am so I had McDix for breakfast and decided to watch Super Size Me during the meal. :D A bit explicit but nothing new that wasn't already known. So, no change in MY eating habits! :b

So about AX... I was disappointed for the longest time without any announcements for any other major guests until NOW! I figured it would be last minute but not THIS last minute. Now I hope AX keeps up this streak and announces even MORE. Just hoping... with fingers crossed n all :B~

Last year of the night market I hear. Who knows... they said that last year too. Ah well, we should just use that excuse to go more often this year, is all.

Ooh I got myself a new wallet (coughpreordersale240,originally500+but50%off!hackcough).. um, I should watch my spending before AX. Even though I -DO- have an order of manga coming in the mail... and another soon (hopefully it'll ship and arrive before AX tho)... if not, I might have to resort to pay more for express shipping!! (that actually sounds quite exciting lol)

I still haven't finished FFX omfg. Just thinking about having to make 1 million gil to bargin with Ultima totally keeps me from playing. Tedious money making... But I'm determined to do as many side quests possible before finishing it up. That's just my way of playing :b Ok, FFX, you're gunna be held off a bit longer...

First Week of Summer Work

Hi, I'm in my second day of my summer job being a graphic designer (!) and web developer for a calendar application known as Calgoo [google that, foo]. Now the current application and site looks pretty shit right now, which is why I'm here. But there's just sooo many things that need major overhauling, I've got 110% pressure on me. I've been bombarded with insane meetings every other hour so far and my brain [or actually my back - more on that later] hurts.

Now about my work desk...
I lack a laptop (BUT NOT FOR LONG DAMMIT! ><!! *determined to get one*) so I requested a desktop which they purchased for me... had to work with a laptop for the first day (that had VISTA - OMG VISTA IS SO ANNOYING XD asks you 10x for permissions before you can do a simple task) then requested dual monitors, but they only have old 17" CRTs so far... so I'm dealing with a single LCD for now... two LCDs may be on their way, MAYBE. The only desk left was a glass desk (>< - dangerous and cold, and finger printy) and it's far too high for me (D: ... I'm too short, they keep saying lol)... so I'm hoping to get a new desk, wood, of that variety, hopefully. then the chair... to accomodate my shortness (D:!), they found a chair that can go really high BUT, making me sit so high, my monitor so low and with no arm rests, makes my back hurt D:... then this new mouse that came with the computer kept getting spasms.. so it kept spazzing all day until I gave up on it and switched to an old school ball mouse

lol seems like I'm high maintenance but hey, I'm a graphic designer... I need to be in the utmost best enviroment to work in because the sucess of their visual communication depends on me ;) ...and the internet is all about visual communication, so as long as I prove my worth.. I wouldn't be asking for too much at all >:]

the upcoming four month outline is basically: complete product UI redesign, new feature implementations, the icon/image portion is quite big, website redesign, then second project website design... shrug... then prolly will continue throughout the rest of the school year too... it's actually kinda exciting, if you don't try and think and do all the tasks at once.. bit by bit is the way to go!

A little gaming side note: omg Yunalesca's third form gives me nightmares!
