After weeks of stress, more stress comes after...
Hmm, so I messed up my Marketing midterm #2...It was awfully hard compared to the first... it pulled down my mark quite drastically... Gotta work harder again... now it'll depend on my marketing project/presentation and cases with my other FOB team members... *sigh* so so so so worried. The big chubby guy that never comes to class an taw lai di yu no suggested a bunch of solutions to HIS lack of availability time to the rest of the group. The mainland china girl seems to feel that splitting up the group (so one solely works on the project and the other on the cases) is a bad idea, like me. Toothpick girl apparently didn't suggest or give opinion on this neither did the chubby guy's friend. Hmm, however they seem quite capable of doing it despite their horrible accents and FOB language. SO! I'm going to strive to do the least in the group by editing and doing computer technical stuff we'll require for the project. Lets just hope my persuasion works. Kekeke~
When I wanted to give up on my Psychology, I didn't study TOO much for the midterm. Though, when I took the test, it didn't seem difficult at all -- I was WRONG (again)... I got the results back to find that I got a crappy mark AGAIN.
In English, we had to do a Mes en Scene, where you choose a photo that caught your eye and then you analyze it. I chose a Always Thong Pantiliner ad that I found in an old lifestyle magazine that was lying around. The greyscale picture had a naked woman with her back to the camera with only a thong on. Yep, how COULDN'T it catch your eye!
The geo lab we had last Friday was awfully difficult. I was glad someone took my usual spot and grabbed one right beside a bunch of brainy dudes. Thankfully I got some assistance from them though I took too much time doing the first time, I lost track and had to rush the end of the 2 hours. I was hoping I'd get off early to revise my english film review which I last minute picked a movie I didn't want to really review at all (was Infernal Affairs II btw). I arrived to the class late and rambled so badly, the teacher stopped me and began asking questions instead... urg, so embarassing. I had to made up a few reasons for the movie -- why it was good, why it was not -- and when she asked for examples, I froze. It made it too obvious I wasn't prepared at all... Bad day, bad day...
We tried out the new Bubbletopia that opened right beside Bubble World on Granville. The customers were mainly CBC's for some odd reason when we were there... They had a $2-$3 opening discount, which was kind of nice.. but NOT when when you have to ADD another DOLLAR for pearls! That was a rip off... However!! The drinks were quite good... :}
WE WATCHED INFERNAL AFFAIRS III FINALLY! URG, Leon doesn't look like he belongs in that movie. I didn't like the ending either... well I like Andy that's why. :< We also had BEEF NOODLES for dinner that day and we tried to get in contact with Eleanor ALL DAY and luckily we were and she came. ....NO! I DIDN'T LIKE IT!
I didn't study as much as I should have for the Japanese midterm. I mainly practiced kanji but apparently there was this one particular character I didn't know, and that was for 'attention'... baah. Everything else went fairly well so I have high hopes for this.... lets hope it doesn't get crushed again by disappointment.
SO FINALLY! I got my geo weather report back, which I worked rather hard on to find that I GOT ONLY A PASSING MARK! The rest of the day was ruined... dammit to hell, the teacher's a prick. I recalculated my geo average when I got home to find that my mark's actually as bad as my PSYCHOLOGY! Holding this super shock, I think I'll drop Geo intead of Psychology now. I wasn't planning on taking summer school and I still have no intention to now but apparently a good teacher that lots of other people recommend is teaching in the summer. Now I just wonder if that same teacher'll be available in the Fall semester instead... should I take the chance and wait or take one course in the summer? I was hoping I'd only work in the summer, instead of a one hour class everyday that'll require either $2 for parking or $4 bussing DAILY, which is dumb, I think.
Mmm... Jo and I went downtown yesterday for the Hiring Fair. We parked 1200-800 = 400 digits away from the destination, so we had to walk in the rain. We arrived to find that the lineup was so long, we wouldn't be able to get in before it closes. We shrugged and walked back and visited a few stores along the way. We called up Eleanor and Fish to find that they were bubble tea-ing and suggested that we all go out and eat. We met them at Daimo, ate and talked and planned birthday things.
Jo apparently found a job classified that would suit me and surely it does... I can't wait to send in my resume when I get home~! XD
