The Aftermath...

A...ahaha...

Well I quit. I told my mom last minute (the night before my last day and before I headed to bed). She asked me if I told my co-worker yet and I answered 'yes' and... that was it. I didn't look back, she didn't say anything else.

After I came home from the last day of work there, I was greeted by a scowl. She was completely annoyed and got easily irritated. No one mentioned anything about my job. She barely spoke to me at dinner. My parents left a bit later after to a fellowship event. I also left the house to watch a movie... Hide and Seek to be exact. It was an okay movie. Frequently throughout the movie, I wondered when it'd end because it felt too long. But a good bubble tea @ SOHO made everything better! Especially one with aloe vera <3 Not to mention, midnight snacks were welcomed with an open stomach. ^^ And then I got a call from my mom with an unwelcoming voice to ask where I was. When I finally got home, I was once again greeted with an unpleasant face (you see where this is going? :/).

Today, our whole family went out for a Korean food. The job subject was at hand. About my brother's job and while on the topic, I was mentioned as "...unlike this stupid one here." They were on the topic of quitting jobs apparently. Yes perhaps I should have quit when I found another job so it'd cover what I'll be missing, but day by day, the longer I stayed... the more meaningless and frustating it got. But of course, there's no way something like this can be explained to my mother. And a Chinese mother at that. Their narrow-minded views, ideals and everything. It's not like talking to her will help because she'll just take over the conversation and it'll become a lecture more than anything.

This awkard tension between us is bothering me. Anything I say or do right now just pisses her off. She still talks to me... er I mean, she doesn't exactly talk to me, she just says like a line of command or something and that's it (e.g. "Wake up tomorrow and go to church."). She hasn't spoken to me about anything about what I'm going to do from now on or anything. I don't know what to expect. I still act normally (well, there's nothing to hide or anything though so).... It's just that I can't look at her straight in the eye. I also have nothing to say to her either. I suppose she has nothing to say to me too. Is she trying to make me feel like I've done something wrong and I should go back or something? Her attitude hasn't made me feel otherwise about my decision though. Man, hurry up and come Tuesday. Get the job and hopefully change the current situation. That is... speaking with an optimistic approach.

Thanks all for the encouraging comments everyone. I've taken the time to think about it more on the weekend. It feels like I've climbed a step too high and I'm kinda stuck in the middle. I'm just not ready for that line of work yet. Maybe it's a sign I should return to that bloody place called school? :D I guess the hardest challenge right now is to find the right words to say and the right time to say them. I've always had trouble expressing my opinion in the "adult world", afraid I'd ruin my own reputation, or something to that relation. As if they'd look down on me just cuz I'm a kid who has no right to speak up cuz.. well I'm just a naive kid right? Okay scratch that, I'm dumb. Thanks again everyone, I'm in the process of climing down this frustrating ladder. :]]

To the happier side... it's that time of the year for KOUHAKU (紅白)! This year the women win again (ha-ha-haa). But really, the reds were so much more spectacular this year, without a doubt! The guys were SO so-so... The highlights: ORANGE RANGE (not Hana but Locomotion's good too :T), Ueto Aya (Ai no Tame ni), Chemisty (I lub them <3), BoA (QUINCY -- I was reminded of Ishida Uryuu and was like gasp, a song for him? XD), an oldie guy Matsudaira Ken coming in with UBER SHINY KIMONOS WITH OVER 50 MORE UBER SHINY KIMONOED DANCERS dancing to a SAMBA (aka. the 'MATSUKEN SAMBA II')! That was the most surprising thing throughout the whole event but lol it was cool but funny at the same time. Okay back to the highlights: AH Takizawa Hideaki was in the guest stands doing teh judging (damn he's hot? :p), then there were two guest singers from KOREA (gaspgasp... excluding BoA) Ryu (singer of the theme song for Winter Sonata) and Lee Jung-Hyun (I think?) who did some crazy dance plus singing her themes in Koreanified Japanese ;DD. And other faves who showed up included aiko, Hamasaki Ayumi (I swear it looked like she was lip syncing cuz she wasn't in a shortage of breath like she usually is AND she moved around), DREAMS COME TRUE, Nakashima Mika, Hitoto You, PornoGraffiti, Maki Goto and the female Enka artists (I don't know their names by heart... except Kobayashi Sachiko and Fuji Ayako. Nor am I a fan of male enka, except Hikawa Kiyoshi cuz he's young :p). Anyways, this year was awsome but something was missing--! SMAP! Ahahaha, even though I don't exactly love them to bits, they were still missed. :p And probably the most annoying performance was by nobodyknows+ where all the singers in the group just jumped around like mad with their we're-ghetto-and-wannabe-american outfits but at least they sang a good song that I know of (Kokoro no Odoru... perhaps from hearing it at Daiso?). Hahaha, I can't get over the fact that Takizawa Hideaki presence graced the event. XD Oh the little bored face he had on... heehee.

Ok! Install UT now.

So, like, today I cried at work.

I think it was a build up of problems that caused my bottle cap to pop. I wasn't sure when I was supposed to make more distilled water or not because they never tell me anything and when I ask they ask me why I didn't know because they claim they told me when they never did! SO WTF! So yeah, my senior co-worker demanded to know why I didn't make more distilled water when I recall her telling me not to make more because it takes too much time. Mixing frustration and anger and pinches of all sorts of emotional shit I locked myself in the washroom for a good 15 or so minutes and flooded. Then the co-worker started to get angry at me, asking why I wouldn't come out. And after 3 attempts at getting me out (and exclaiming that she'd call my MOM to come GET ME -- WTF D: D: D:) I finally came out just to get put on the spotlight by demanding answers for questions I do not intend on answering, especially to her. She had no sympathy nor kindness at the time, which upset me even more and just wanted her to go away, since my lunch was getting cold. Then I built up a giant headache just to top off the day.

Which reminds me... right before I went to work I realized that this job is just another Daiso... and more. Instead of physical stress, there'd be mental stress. My nasty supervisor vs. my appearance deceiving co-worker. The pay's the damn same. Here, I'd be almost like school.. where I have to memorize terms in which THEY mispronounce, causing ME to mispronounce and write incorrectly. And damn, didn't I start working _BECAUSE_ I HATED school? Wtf.

Yeah, apparently there's something wrong with me. Why am I still doing this???

A few reasons. My aunt put in a lot of effort to get me this job. My parents (at least my mom) is proud of a job like this. My bro (being a mole though...) wants me to do this.

Another reason why I dislike this job though... I didn't put in my own effort into getting it. ((Unless I'm really interested in the job, I would care less about effort. :p)) They didn't look at me and my prior job positions and judged me as so. I didn't go through the crucial interview where my past experiences are questioned. Perhaps I feel that I don't deserve such a job either. Cuz really... I don't. I sure feel like I don't. At all. I so feel out of place.

Shit so why I am holding back? I'm a facking chicken. I can't put up enough courage together to bring it up. To neither my mom or at work. Go pathetic me.

But really... I cried over this 3 times already (I think). Once with my brother, once by myself and again today. I think there's something seriously wrong. The second time, I asked the Lord for assistance and indeed he calmed my heart then. I asked him again now what I am to do but... I don't know what kind of response to expect and in what form either. The longer I wait, the harder it gets. And if the Lord's working through my mom.. then there's something REALLY wrong with that too because talking to my mom sucks. She has her own ideals and everytime you try to talk to her about a problem, she talks about what you do not what to hear and makes you feel even worse about yourself than before.... like she did earlier today.

Now if I'm fretting over this job so badly... I suppose something must be done.

And it should be done soon.

Big White 2005

Woohoo!

The ski trip we've

all been waiting for!

A pleasant surprise Thursday morning when I wake up to a beautifully white-covered scenery. No doubt there was more to come. Schools begin closing their doors early afternoon (even though they do not concern me too much :}). Luckily, they closed the following Friday, so Mike was able to join up with us on the bus ride (which was quite a relief!!). I did some last minute packing and had to search frantically for things to bring. I happily open up my KH: CoM package to find a missing INSTRUCTION BOOKLET. I get sorta pissed and depressed at the same time (for being unable to bring it with me to the trip :[[) and had to ask my mom to go exchange it for me (the earlier the better y'know).

Friday comes along and I set my alarm clock to 11. More last minute packing while waiting for my ride. Mike comes by with Jon to pick up my board. Soon later Simon and Tony pick me up early to Simon's for some homemade lunch (made by Simon's mom~ -- MSG udon!!). Next we loaded up the car and made our way to UBC (Simon's mom & sis drove us). When we got there, we called Eleanor to find that she was too busy playing Big2 to come help us with all the luggage (aka. the FOOD aka. our RATIONS) but we convinced her soon enough. We moved the stuff from the car to the UBCJA ski office and pretty much clogged up the whole hallway with our stuff as other ski trippers came and dropped their stuff as well. Mike comes with a bigger crew of people (Franky, Jon and another Mike [from now distinguished with Small Mike whereas the Fish Mike = Big Mike]). Then the bus comes and we transfer all our stuff there. We find seats on the bus a minute too late and end up pretty much at the back (noooooo toileeet horror!). Oh yeah, we almost forget to get Mike's board at the office, um oops. After waiting around on the bus, we realize we're missing a head also known as Jason but he shows up soon enough.

Yay, we're finally on the move...! We end up having crap movies on our bus ride... Did we even watch two movies on the bus ride? I can't even remember... I guess that's how crappy they were. We watched Ride, however, it was a movie (sorta documentary-esque) about skiing/boarding... It was rather boring though, so meh. We stopped at our first rest stop as we all ran like mad to Subway (which was a whole parking lot away) in the freezing wind and weather. It was insanely packed (with other people from other busses)... while lining up, I took the opportunity to go to visit the washroom but gasp, another lineup and apparently, someone either fainted in the girls' washroom, took a very long dump or the washroom just got locked from the inside because we ended up having to use the guy's. After the food stuff, we rushed back onto the bus and we soon stopped at another quick washroom break stop. After another few tedious hours, we finally arrived at Big White BUT the bus guy dropped us off a little too far from our living quarters. Everyone ended up having to HIKE with bags and bags of heavy luggage and equipment up a few streets. Exhausted and tired, we found that our condo was on the SECOND FLOOR that was lead to by a very narrow and steep stairway. Blah! The condo was big and pretty! Eleanor and I got first dibs to rooms and took the one with a washroom inside ;D! Then the other rooms got occupied one by one. Jon was his selfish-ass self and hogged up a whole queen sized bed and room to himself as two others had to sleep outside on the living room couches. Big Mike and Franky. Simon and Jason to a bunkbedded room LOL so cute and cool. Shu had a tv viewing room with a foldout bed couchy. Small Mike and Tony got the living room couches. We finally settled down... exhausted from the treacherous hike, we passed on going to the Pub that night and finished up our liquor from New Years Eve (I recall...). Did I mention the condo was loaded? TV (only 13 or so channels), microwave, oven, dishwasher, kitchen utensils and eating utensils, cooking utensils, a washer/dryer, vacuum... and other miscellaneous things. The hot water system really sucked though. After a few showers, we ran out of hot water. We attempted to play MJ with Simon's mini MJ set but due to lack of feet and Small Mike's lack of knowledge of the game we kinda gave up after a few tries and decided to sleep instead. Note: Shu was pretty much non-existent for the whole trip cuz he was never around with us.

Urgaaa it was so hard to wake up at 7:30... but we dragged it to 8. All guys working in the kitchen = teh ultimate. Small but good breakfast. Elie & My breakfast was kindly made and served by Small Mike (aww! XD!)... Apparently Jon woke up early just to hog up the hot water (hm!). We headed out a little after 9. Elie got split up from us but was with JaaJaa (sp D:) and Gousuke (多分? I don't know... :x) the whole time. I don't remember Jon being there either.. hm? Simon joined up with us later after he lost sight of Elie. We went up the Ridge Rocket first I think... then made our way to the Black Forest Express through some green trail. We stayed on the Black Forest Express the whole time (teh best trails imho.. same for everyone else, I think) and constantly went down the blues. Haha Jason had some troubles and constantly got stuck at some flat areas cuz of his board. We all PKed a lot... Small Mike was zipping through like the pro he was and did a few dozen jumps here and there. And the powder was good! Sometime halfway, Jason and Small Mike ditched and headed to the terrain park. 1:30 came around and we returned to our condo for a break and food. Eleanor was nowhere to be found. :T We ate and slept until Night Skiing came into effect (around 4 but got out at 5). Eleanor finally returns in one piece. Only Tony, Jon, Franky, Jason, Small Mike, Big Mike and myself went out for some more action. We dropped Jon off at the bunny hill on the way. Night Skiing was ack. Somehow Small Mike convinced us to go down a dark, unlit trail that was actually a Blue (but probably Double Black at night) covered in whataretheycalledagain? moles? Those small bumps/hills of evilness... We all strugged in the dark and took a hell of a long time to get through, practically fell at every other bump that all unexpectedly hit us (since we couldn't see jack!). After the frustration, we made it through and arrived at the terrain park. We arrived at the top to find that the Black Forest Express trails weren't open at night so we stayed at the terrain park instead. Me and Tony only went down the terrain park once (obstacles/jumping/flipping weren't our specialty). As we waited on the bottom, we enjoyed our rock-hard and frozen Chewy chocolate bars, mmm~ After the wait, the two of us convinced the rest of the group to return to the normal runs and so we did. We went on a few more that were on the Bullet Express, I PKed really bad on a few to the point I cracked my goggles. We tired ourselves out (felt like it was mainly just me) and made our way back. Eleanor, Simon, Jon, Small Mike and Jason went to the hot tub while the rest of us bummed around, eating and watching TV. They returned to find that there was no more hot water once again for them to shower with. Finally food time. Our big happy family went out for some good ol' food. We first visited the bar Raakel's to find nothing good to eat, even though the underagers successfully snuck in. We visited Sam's next to find that the menu was unsurprisingly expensive. Half of us shared things. The pasta was good... we were constantly stared at in the restaurant by caucasians (we were the only asians). The bill was expensive and not to mention, our waitress wrote down herself that we needed to pay 15%... what a @#%%. :p Well yeah, we were out of towners but still, that was uncalled for. That night we decided to sleep early... and we sorta did. 12-1am's pretty good yeah? I had trouble sleeping though. It was strangely hot AND Eleanor took up a lot of bed space AND she talked in her sleep AND I had a bad tummy ache. Did I mention I lived through the weekend with my monthly 'thing' in effect? With that, the night's rest was kinda bad.

The next morning. Checkout was at 10 (aww, last day already?)... Elie and I got out of bed at 9 and did everything slow mo. We packed, ate, and did some last minute cleaning. We got to the checkout room at around 10:30 to find a whole condo packed with other JA people AND a better condo! :p Eleanor decided not to join us but the rest of us went on! Jon returned to his bunny hill again I think... More Black Forest we go~ We bumped into Tammy, Sam and Sham on the way there. We stayed there the rest of the day (yay I love those trails esp. Herbert's Hollow and teh Bear's PAW!) Simon left us early to join up with Eleanor for some ice skating which they did not do at the end. Tony made a few videos and took a few pics. The guys raced a few times in which me and Tony did not participate in. It was really nice going down those blues... they'll truly be missed. ;DD Around 1:30, we returned to change and settle down. The bus comes, and we still had to hike a bit with all our luggage again but we were able to take a few trips this time because the distance wasn't as long. We got free drinks and got slightly more middler seats this time. We left earlier than planned (@3) and arrived at our food stop at West Bank at 5. We had all you can eat pizza. There was some confusion, and the different pizzas went everywhere. Three hawaiians arrived at our table... too many hawaiian pizzas. We also had limitless pop... all for $10 flat. It was good... (at the time.) We took another stop at the toll booth for washroom breaks.... the girls unfortunately had the longest line-up of course... especially with the other, oh, 5 busses that arrived at the same time we did. We watched some better movies on the ride back -- Dodgeball (slept through the middle) and Mean Girls (v. good movie ;D)... Then Jason got sick and almost got me throwing up too. My ears popped a few times on the ride back (ow :/)... We finally arrived home sweet home Vancouver, UBC at 10 something! Almost immediately did everyone that came off the bus left as fast as they came. Our group ended up being last (eheh..?)... Der comes cruising in with Big Mike's mini van as Elie's and Simon's ride come soon afterwards. ...And Der runs through a few red lights on the way home -_-;;) He drops himself off first, then I drove Small Mike home then I returned home after... Big Mike drove himself back afterwards. Shower then straight to bed I went. Internet was dead anyways.

Me and my unnecessary over detailness. Yey.

Monday morning... I didn't have work luckily. Internet was still being retarded. I gave the modem a bit of a rebootage. I watched the end of the First Love drama with my mom. That long speech by Tomo about her own selfishness was so blah. She seriously needed to be slapped big time. I forgot to mention, my mom tried to exchange the game for me, but having no knowledge of games, she was unsuccessful and the worker somehow managed to convince her that the instruction manual was built into the game cuz the games nowadays were like that. Okay, it almost convinced me too but then I was like wtf that still makes no sense. So that night I went for an exchange and got a new one but guess what--? The instruction manual was in FRENCH ONRY. I went back to ask about it and for some reason all of them only had french instruction manuals. Okay... I didn't exactly need the instruction manual to play but to have the whole game as it should've been bought for your money's worth makes sense wouldn't it? Anyways, I gave up and just kept it as it is... now I noticed Future Shop had that matching price feature... I've gotta take advantage of it and get some cheapcheap on my KH: CoM. >:]] Later I HAD TO VISIT MY FAVOURITE BOOKSTORE but to find that my magazine wasn't available so meh. Then I waited some money on a One Piece figurine in hoping to get 1 out of 12 chance for an Ace figurine for my bro! Ahaha.. but no luck. I'll try some more later this week when I return for some more bookstore shopping... Mmm~

I have to bus to work tomorrow. Sucks. Snow's sorta getting in the way now. :/ Now, snow a LOT MORE or just melt ya stupid snow. Being in the middle of too much and too little's no good.

My guestbook's also being raided by Spanish fans of Kaleido Star who, I assume, got hit by the Kaleido Star fandom just recently. Ahh it's all in spanish!!

あけましておめでとうございます!☆

Time to go back in time!

Dec25: Typical but traditional Christmas Day: Sleep in. The whole house gradually wakes up at its own pace. Slowly we all present our presents (this year, little to none :p)... My mom presented me with a giant stuffed animal. Hmm, how old am I again? :D Oh well, she's like that. Later that day, my bro finally comes upstairs to pick up his share. I think he was rather disappointed with my present for him. Even though it was only a giant bag filled with Daiso food. I guess I'll try harder next year~ :p For dinner, we went to our grandma's place. I got to watch Cheaper by the Dozen on TV. Only got money from the cheap aunt relative but a Future Shop gift certificate from my good ol' Auntie Lily (woohoo!). Then I urged to go home early... since I had to work the next day.......

Dec26: Agh, boxing day. It was insane. My first time ever, out on Boxing Day in a MALL. WORKING, even. Everyone was crazy. Enough said, really. All but the lady who went on vacation to Mexico were working on Boxing Day. Yeah, I think 40% off is pretty damn cheap. We all took turns eating the pizza we were treated to in the back room. I got to excuse myself from work early to attend my parents' baptismal service. Then I had a talk with my bro outside at the car while munching down their dim sum left overs after my parents finished their dunking and testimonies. So afterwards, he didn't convince me to stay at the Dental Office after all. Actually, it left me more frustrated than before...

Dec27: Continuation of Boxing Day sale. Nothing more to it.

Dec28: After Boxing Day sale, Returning Day. We had nothing but people returning things today. Depressing.

Dec29: Went up to Cypress for some good boarding with Mike. It got rather busy all of a sudden. -_-;

Dec30: Woke up early for some MASSAGING!!!! at the chiropractor. What's better than getting squeezed at right after a tiring boarding experience eh. And yessss, I told the lady to PUT ON MORE STRENGTH WILL YA! And whoa, did it hurt! After that fun was over, my mom and I fooded dim sum at a hot pot place. Afterwards, we went to Aberdeen and bought a Lacus figurine. My mom was hoping to get one of Lacus' CD cover dresses (and I, her original) but instead we got her on the beach instead. :/ It was still good, but not as... :D Then we visited the new Korean store that opened up also at Aberdeen. Everything was rather obviously fake but they looked pretty authentic. So I got myself a pair of $10 JEANS! It seemed like they were still in the process of putting things up... especially the stationary section. We then moved onto Yaohan! I bought Aya. (more info later, maybe >_>)... Whee, mini shoppings spreee....

Dec31: After work, I rushed home to change for Simon's b-day/new years bash-ing! I got picked up and we headed to Guu on Robson. We got the coool room where we still had to squish together uncomfortably. The food wasn't too filling but I made sure I filled up on the tea. Then we went on our way to E-Spot all the way in Richmond, making a few stops on the way. Then came my Guitarfreaks addiction! Heehee, that game's so amusing... MUST.. WASTE.. MORE..MONEY.. ON THAT GAMEE!!! I finally agreed to leave, after wasting too much on it. We made our way to the casino and bumped into Ray on the way in. I followed him out cuz they decided to get to Mike's house early instead. When we get there, the house is already raided by half unknowns, drinking their heads off. Soon enough, the rest of the people started arriving... the drinking begins, we do a last minute cake chopping for Simon, rush to countdown and then relax afterwards, scarfing down the cake with the alcohol. So... after this, we go a little crazy. My parents were done their own countdowning with some other people, so they come by and pick up crazy little me. When I arrive home, I shower and plop to bed... knowing I have to work the next day....

Jan1: Oooi, last day of Roots. Oh, but before that, I woke up a little earlier and enjoyed breakfast with my parents. I had a bit of a hangover... at least I think it was a hangover. So when I get to work, it was only me and my manager. I always find that's its weird working when the manager's around... (maybe cuz duh she's the manager? :P) There were a surprisingly large number of people shopping around that day... man, what happened to the family tradition where we'd all stay at home and have family time? Well I guess that was back when malls weren't OPEN ON NEW YEARS. So after 6 hours, it was sayonara to Roots. I was somewhat disappointed to find that the other asian girl was hired when I took a peek at next week's schedule. Oh well, she definitely deserves it more than me; she's a _MAD_ seller.

Jan2: WAS going to board... felt sick so I didn't. Joined the family for food and Costco. I treated my bro to bbt and walked around some malls with him. After we both fell asleep in the car, when my parents went to return something at Staples... :D Later that night, I went to Wendy's big party (+ somewhat potluck) thinger at her place in Richmond. A potluck, but almost nobody brought anything. Yeesh.. :p There were loads of people there... most of them were people we knew 'cept a few UBC odd balls. We got there, watched some jenga action and then tried out MJing. A particular girl that was playing on our table messed up both times we successfully played (first she had one too many tiles when she tried to eat, and then she made a chicken afterwards hahahaha :p)... There goes the two games... After the two rather unsuccessful games, we went lined up for food! After the eating, the MJ tables gradually got taken and I ended up watching the Poker table play Poker the rest of the night. Midway, I played with Pat's cellphone game where you had to shoot mosquitoes! I kept beating Jason's score... poor Jason XD

Jan3: More snowboarding! It was Mike, Jo Li and me this time. It was even MORE packed up there. We had hell finding parking and ended up parking even farther than the other times. The hike was tiresome but after that, there was nothing but fun times. XDD Jo started to get tired and we soon had to go anyways, so me and Mike finished up our last run and left. Jo went a different route than we did so we both couldn't find each other. I protected the boards while he went back the other route to see if he could bump into him. But after the long walk, we find that she was waiting at the lodge for us... As Jo went to buy food/drinks, Mike went to get the car. We waited at the pick-up area for ages and started to freeze before he finally made it back. It was really cold up there.. and it was only a mere -4 or something... it can't be compared with Big White's -16. D:... aww man.

Jan5: I drove my mom to work and then deposited my cheques from the dental clinic. After, I bumped into Jo at her Unicef booth. I gave the library and a few stores a visit before Jo's shift was over. We had some yummy White Spot and then visited Churchill for Jo wanted to do a few things there. We made our way down to Richmond and stopped at Richmond Centre. After some window shopping, we ended up at Sportchek to find some ski pants for myself. Unfortunately there weren't any pants with suspenders left anymore so I ended up getting just pants instead. We did more browsing and left to Future Shop afterwards. I used up the gift cert. I got for Christmas on KH: CoM (I wonder if that was a good buy after all.. hm!) and still considering whether to bring it up to Big White with me so I have something to do on the bus ride...... Afterwards, we returns to Vancouver and had bbt across from Oakridge and then made our way home.

Now: It's so silly late but I suddenly had the urge to start and finish a layout tonight and I did. Here's something I kept nice and simple... I think there might be more to come with those Star Ocean 3 layouts (rar! XDDD)... I also managed to keep up with my blog~ (thumbs up!!) Now, is a good time to sleep.
