Oh~ Lots of Movies

So a celebration was held for my nephew for living a whole month. A big, important event indeed, since it was also held at an expensive restaurant; high expectations were expected. Our whole family dressed up for it, going pretty semi-formal ONLY. Meh, we overrated the celebration dinner; we were actually the MOST overdressed. We forgot the majority that were invited were my aunt's co-workers who all worked at T&T with her... man. We dressed better than the hosts. *coughcough*

Moni-moo needed people to practice on for her manicure skillz so I agreed on helping. Had to wake up early and bus to VCC to meet her at school. I gave her the wrong hand to start with and had my right hand done. There was a lack of time so I lived a day with one really pointy hand. I went the next day to get the other hand done. It was hard to get used to the pointy hands at first, but it's all good now. Still quite inconvenient though... Oh well it's cooooo~l!

We had a movie night the other day. Knowing Shrek 2 was coming out, we rewatched Shrek again and also because Fish and Elie hasn't watched it yet. We took the opportunity to finish the Smirnoff Vanilla as well so I could bring the beautiful bottle home which is now beautifully proped on the highest shelf with my precious cds. Anyways, afterwards, we went to Kam Do ("Golden Knife") to have some good dinner. And we met TROUBLE. We dropped Elie off and went to pick up Ocean's Eleven from the video store. We had trouble finding it there though... :O We got back and met up with Simon and Sally as well and watched it. Oooh, such a good movie~ Brad Pitt's always eating... so good :D Jerry came half way and watched as well. Jo and I left early while the rest of the people went on with their MJ. Can't wait for Ocean's Twelve~! Oh and Shrek 2 too~!

My mom borrowed a fake DVD of AZUMI from someguy and I decided to watch it. Gawd, Hiroki Narimiya's so damn cute! WHY'D HE HAVE TO
DIE!
... I soon figured
most people, if not everyone, would die
after Amagi went and killed himself. And I saw Nagara and hoped he would die cuz of his ugliness... Aw then I thought, Hyouga can't die! He's got a GIRL! And he's pretty decent looking! And then woosh, death. Then the cute Ukiha dies (dying ever so heroicly~). And at the end, the UGLY GUY'S ALIVE?! Man, super disappointment. I just hope AZUMI 2 has more hot guys for me to gawk at :p

I just finished watching Moon Child before I started posting... Wow, they can't act but they put the funniest humor in there. But it was sad... But to think hyde's a vampire.... I would have never thought the story would be about a vampire... I expected something more "mood child"-like than a guy that can't live under the sun and sucks peoples' blood to live. Meh, a little less unoriginality there but oh well... their hotness pays off.

Job hunting is such a drag...

Yay for Troy

Woke up late, met up with Jo late and headed out late. We had TV Dinners at my place for our late lunch. We headed to Pacific Border to check out the super sale. Saw lots of nice clothes but had no money. I eyed a cool hoody but it was slightly beyond my budget. Jo got something and then we made our way to Safeway for the food. We visited Sam B. at the cashier and quickly got to Jerry's place. By then, only 3 people (Jerry, Simon, Elie) were there and they started watching Totoro with crap subtitles. Amy came and we realized we didn't know how to surprise her so all of us hid in the bathroom as Jerry stalled her. Took her a while to find us and tried to scare us out by turning on/off the bathroom fan and lights. We considered buying the tickets for the movie online so we tried it out. Unfortunately you couldn't buy the tickets for TROY at SILVERCITY RIVERPORT ONLY. Fustrated, we hurried up Mike to get here with his car (since he's always the designated driver guy) since the majority who came with a car didn't want to drive because of the nasty gas prices (99.5/L). Soon, Paul and Angus showed up and joined us in the continuation of Totoro as we waited for Mr. Taxi-Man. We started making hotdogs and burgers but the buns were rather difficult to chew. Mike finally arrived, so we hastly drove Riverport, bought the tickets and started lining up to get in. We stood/sat for at least a half n hour before we were let in. We sat for another half n hour before the movie actually started. We put bets on how many times a particular advertisement would show up before the movie started and also managed to refilled on pop and popcorn.

The movie... it was.. GREAT; GOOD; WOW XD... I loved it lots. I had to go to the washroom midway through the movie (I was full; next to bursting) but the movie pulled me back in and I totally forgot I had to go. :D Exciting and fun and of course, Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom were teh COOL and teh hawt stuff~! <3 The events were mangled, there was a dirty spot on the screen that got in the way a few times, the people beside us chattered a bit too much at times (and too loudly even if it was two or three words), and a bunch of girls in the back giggled a few times a bit too loudly lol... lots of nice nakedy shots though lol, no wonder Jo said it was rated R in the US.

Whee, after the enjoyable movie, we returns to Jerry's place as Mike went back home to get ketchup and Sally that decided to join us. Amy and Paul left as soon as we arrived. The rest of us finished watching Totoro and headed to the basement for MJ and Pool. We sent a few people out to bring us back some Bubble Tea. Everyone else gradually departed leaving Jerry, Simon, Mike, Sally and myself there. I took the time to visit Jerry's TATAMI ROOM! I had fun opening and closing the door and snoozing on the table in the floor. It must be nice to have their very own Tatami room in their very own house... XD And to think, they're selling the house! Anyways, Sally went to made phone calls so I took over her spot for MJ and won the biggest win of the night of a "Overflow" or "No room" or "Full" or what I call "Explosion!" hand taking $512 from everyone. :D I swear it must be from sitting in Sally's lucky seat where she continuously beat everyone all night. Finally we called it quits and got going. We dropped Sally off first because she was the farthest. Mike started complaining that he was hungry so we stopped by McDix and then decided to visit Tony C at his graveyard shift. We bought a bit from him and drove back along the empty streets at 4AM.

*yawn* My hair's finally dry. I'll go to bed now. :)

Kiru Biru 2 & Job Hunting PT. X

Watched Kill Bill 2 yesterday at Metro~ It was a nice ending, though I didn't expect it to end that easily. Lots of talking and explaining though. The Superman analogy was kinda interesting.. :D Had late night all-you-can-eat HotPot afterwards. The insanityyy.....

Woke up late today... got to the Job Fair late too. Developed foot pain from wearing those nasty heels while walking downtown. Me and Jo lined up for a half n hour and got in just in time. The annoying couple beside me kept trying to squirm in front of us. I wanted to be a bitch and yell them back, but decided not to. Got in, filled out a quick survey and took a mini tour around the booths. There wasn't much there, and most of the forms were already taken so we tried whatever that was left. We left soon later and passed by a McDix so I decided to finally have lunch (@4:30pm). Had the McDeal and supersized the fries.. mm fries. We took the counter seat where it was wide-open and visible facing Thurlow St. We sat and talked for an hour or so and made our way back. Stopped at Oakridge and visited the newly opened Benetton. We saw Lisa Cheng and fled. :D

Wow.. had even *MORE* hotpot at home for dinner tonight.

Blogger has a new look (big, bubbly feeling), a title fuction I've never noticed before, and other funky new stuff (like a comment system -__-). As for myself, I made a new layout after endless months of slacking off! I like how it turned out, how about you? :D

My eyes are so tired... I'm going to *try* and make this short... TRYING!

Tried to use the alarm clock and cellphone again to wake me up... I turned them off again and got up an hour after it rang so it sorta helped. I called up Amy to check if she could give me a ride but she had lessons at the time. My parents wanted to go out and eat so I changed and got ready. Amy called a bit later and we decided to meet up later instead. Had lunch on the noodle house on Graville where we had to wait forever for a seat because it was packed. We tried out that cheap seaweed that everyone seems to like to order there and it turned out alright. Sour... cold.. flimsy.. green. Nothing overly special though.. not sure why it's so popular. Got a call from... I don't remember... about the change of plans. They said Stanley Park so I hesitated about going and decided not to. After we finished eating, I reconsidered and decided to follow them. They didn't have lunch yet so I met them at... Golden Award (I think is the name?) and got the seats first cuz I got there early. I was surprised I got there before they did; from Vancouver -> Richmond, compared to Richmond Superstore -> Richmond Golden Award. Hmph... We sat around and watched Sally and Tony C. eat while Jon and Tony K drank their pop and Simon, Amy and I enjoyed our free tea. More talking talking talking and then they said we'd go biking at Stanley Park. Hmm, apparently I was unluckily in a skirt and lots of other people had to go home to pick up things and change. We made haste and left... I decided not to bike and ride scooters instead (whee~) so we skipped my house and headed to Simon's to get his bike. The effort of taking out the bike and making room for it in Amy's car was a waste because it wouldn't even FIT. Then Tony C suddenly calls and says he doesn't know the way there so we suggest to all ride in one car. Simon's car was also free but we didn't need it so next we went to Amy's. Tony C arrives and announces that we'll need more cars because he'll have to leave earlier, forcing Amy to drive anyway. We all agreed on a meeting location and finally made our way there to Stanley Park.

(too detailed.. I can't help it)

We arrived and met up with MORE people. We stood around for Tony C's crew to arrive, since they had all the stuff. Wendy and Jon pestered drivers who were leaving for their paid all-day tickets but was unsuccessful. Amy and I geared up our scooters as we made our way to an open area beside Georgia St. We opened up our newly bought kites and started flying. Amy and I had teh Disney PRINCESSES kite and rocked with it for it lasted the longest and didn't fall at all (well at the very end). Everyone had a turn at making the more expensive "Patriot" kite fly (had two strings -- more "advanced") while we kept our princess flying the whole time. Finally Amy and I decided to tackle the challenge and successfully made it fly for at least 15+ seconds compared to the other attempts when it just shot down right when it lifted off. The sun was already setting so we gave up (for now -- still proud that we kept it in control the longest XD) and headed out for dinner @ iCafe. Amy and I took the scenic route around Stanley Park (because we missed the exit and had to go around the whole park once since the roads were one way) and arrived last. Everything was expensive... so I had something relatively cheaper, sacrificing soup and a drink for a few ($5+) dollars. The rest of the crew went to Mike's place afterwards... Amy and I were too dead tired (from all the crazy kite running) so we headed home... but headed the wrong way. We went west instead of east and realized only when we reached Alma St. (Cambie St > Alma St) and turned around after a bit of gas refilling. Felt icky and dirty (stupid heel-less shoes kept catching all sorts of dirt)(I smell like sunblock too -- still do, a little) so the shower when I got home was really (super) nice and refreshing~ Ah~

Now my eyes are going to pop. GOod nightttttt...

We should go kiting more often. :D
