Happy New Years Eve!

On December 31st, 2006... Candace finally finished Wild ARMs 4.

Final verdict:
Story 2.5/5
Children and adults blahblahblah it wouldn't stop. Also the fact that [spoiler] everyone kept dying [/spoiler] didn't make it as sad as they wanted it to be. Maaaybe at the end when [spoiler]Jude had to kill his dad[/spoiler]. That hurt a bit.

Characters 1/5
AMG! The characters were ALL so annoying and UGLY, both good and bad guys. Somebody kill that character designer. The voices were horrible too. Lambda is, by far, the ugliest-haired character yet.

Music 4.5/5
I absolutely love the boss battle tracks. Not enough whistling though rofl.

Gameplay 3/5
I eventually got used to the new hex battle system. The map is too tiny and limited for my tastes. No millenium puzzles, that sucked. The puzzles weren't that challenging either. Neither were there that many sidesquests...

Overall 3/5
The game was short >_<; The cutscenes looked so much better than the still coloured pictures with the annoying comic book-style grids. Boring ending though XP... the last boss was so easy... gee, why bother. My game also glitched and froze a few times in the beginning too... Did I mention the animation quality was really bad for this one?

Ok, now that that's over... should I give FFX a try again? 3rd attempt? Maybe this time I'll get past the boring beginning for a change? I better get through that horrendous to-do list first before I start something new...

Post Merry Christmas!

The last week's been INSANE!

First I had 8 hour work shifts that took up all my day, then after work I'd have loads of stuff to do~

20th - Oakridge mall closed at 11pm every night and my mom had to work until closing that day. Unluckily, she also caught the flu and eventually lost her voice.. like literally gone. I only had to work till 8 that night, but Oakridge was DEAD so it didn't matter how late I worked!

21st - Worked till 6, then rushed to Queensborough for some SHOPPING (AHAHAHA~)... I got to use my postcard discount on Tommy and also checked out the other new stores (Mexx and Quiksilver). It seems the actual clothing outside the outlets are a lot nicer though... After some good ol' shopping that lead to closing @ 9, we ate at Alleluia (sp?) for some dinner. The waiter kept coming over to help us at our table even when he worked all the way on the other side of the restaurant.. lol, so cute XP

22nd - Until 6 again, rushed home to get ready for a giant family dinner at the "shack" restaurant. I call it the shack because the service sucks, the place is extremely shack-like (e.g. needs renovating), everything's dirty, at night there'd be shady, gangster-looking people that come in to eat and play MJ, and the food isn't all that great. But since it was the grandma's choice, we went anyways. -_- We waited 3 hours for food and they claimed they were "too busy".. Pfft... Like I said, the food wasn't spectacular so there were lots of leftovers. Though, I'll give credit for the good fish they made... that was it. And then we left smelling like the disgusting food we ate....

23rd - Last day at the Richmond branch. Business wasn't as busy as we all hoped. C'mon, it was 2 days before Christmas and the mall was DEAD. There was a wave of people that came in the afternoon but that was pretty much it.

24th - OMG CHRISTMAS EVE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BUSY.. you'd think. Worked at Oakridge that day and wow it was very beautifully dead there too... even moreso than Richmond. I didn't sell much unfortunately but had fun talking and slacking a bit lol. Last day -- who cares? :b Had dim sum with some of the cosmetic's people for lunch... Time flew pretty fast though since I ended up helping people find fragrances that weren't even my line (more fun that way anyways :b). I finished at 5 but the store closed at 6 so I hung around until my mom got off. Went home to be welcomed to a roast beef dinner <3

So! I'm a bit more knowledgable with fragrances now:

Men's Escada: smells like alcohol; vodka to be exact.
David Beckham stinks.
Phat Farm is just brand name, it stinks.
GUCCI is just brand name, it also stinks.
Faranheit stinks, I don't know why people like it.
Joop! smells like bubble gum.. gross.
Burberry Men's smells like old men.
They don't make Alfred Sung Pure anymore, sad.
J.Lo has like 5 perfumes.. why?
CHANEL Men's pretty disgusting.
Givenchy Men's is strong and gross.
Hugo Boss' Silver and Black ball-shaped fragrances are nice.
I saw Prada... probably stinks.
Women's Escada (the one with the girl on the cover) is really sweet..like crazy mangos..good at first, too much later.
White Diamonds is NASTY.
Sean Jean's is alright... never knew he had a fragrance line AND clothing line.
Nautica Voyage's is a nice, fresh scent.
Armani Code smells like detergent. Could be a good thing.
Issey Miyake Men's with the shiny silver top is nice.
Issey Miyake Men's with the non-shiny silver top is not that great.
DKNY's Be Delicious smells like weed.
DKNY's Be Delicious Red smells alright... too fruity.
Lacoste fragrances are all for brand name.. they aren't that great..at least they don't stink.
Never heard of Kenzo... it isn't that good.
B*Men isn't that great.
So isn't Angel.
Hilary Duff, your fragrance isn't that great.
So isn't yours, Britney Spears.
Sexual Men's and Women's smells like old people.
Vera Wang is alright. I like the limited edition with the shiny crystals inside.
CK's new euphoria's overrated I tell you.. but it isn't bad.

I've never heard of Corduroy but it's good and I was selling it.

I've also never heard of John Varvatos but it smells like Italian men and I was selling it.

I've also never heard of ZIRH but it looks like a pretty good skincare line and I was selling it.

25th - Happy Birthday, Christ! Had our annual awsome dinner at my aunt's place. Turkey, ham, OYSTERS (!), mashed potatoes.. mmm~

26th - Boxing Day. Attempted to shop, I swear. But I left empty handed.

Just received news my Wild Arms 10th Anniversary Fanbook is on its way! Still working on Wild Arms 4... ooh it's brutal. Jude, Yulie, everyone.. just die please. FFXI is still strong :3 My latest chocobo is GREEN! Just thinking of what to name him... I was thinking of 'Fat Ace' [/inside joke for those who know what I'm talking about XP] but then he wouldn't sound very cool now would he. I also attempted an Astral Candy recovery mission... We lost Besieged on CHRISTMAS DAY with ~200 ppl only. We went as a 3 party alliance -- all first timers at recovering -- and we so underestimated the three NMs XP... We barely even phased one. Ah well, fun times... at least it's been recovered when I went on yesterday.

Maybe I'll work once or twice a week in the next semester. First semester was nice without work but money was deadly tight >_<;;

Regarding my to-do list though... with only a week and a few days left.. I've accomplished barely anything. First priority ish probably old computer, then cleaning my room, then vacuuming the house, then maybe... just maybe... revamp my domainS while squeezing in gaming time, surfing time, eating time, hanging out time... At least I washed my car? (but frick I wasn't able to vacuum it cuz I couldn't find the extension cable)

I suck at this time management thing.

Don't you just love it when you're busy as hell during your only break from school?!

Anyways, life's a bit too eventful at the moment... as much as I like dynamism, it's beginning to be too much. Thank goodness (or maybe that should be 'Unfortunately'), I only have work until Christmas Eve. After that, it's dead for me. Maybe then I can actually catch up on the stuff I wanted to do for the past (uh..) half a year.

I recently broke the front usb ports of my tower. Go me. If I have the time (probably never) I'll see if I can replace it. So yeah, I messed up my current keyboard some more so I borrowed my bro's USB keyboard. As convenient (or inconvenient) as the front ports may be, I tripped over the damn cord and woosh, there flew the pieces of my usb plug. *head to desk/keyboard/tower* I am awsome.

At work the other day, I met some new sales associate in the fragrance department. Poor guy... Apparently, another fragrance demo girl invited him to join her for lunch. During lunch, she told him to meet her at the sushi store. He gets there and sees her sitting in the corner by herself at an obviously one-seater table. He notices that there isn't another seat for him to sit with her, so he shrugs and tells her he'll take a seat outside the store. She goes Okay and pretty much ditches him... in his face. Ouch. He comes back from lunch to tell me that D: and says he doesn't have many friends (cough) which is why he was really, really heartbroken when she did that to him. Aww!! That was mean though...

Boarding! I finally went boarding for the first time this season! And it was a horrible location at that! [/regrets buying Seymour pass] I purposely took a day off work (out of the few work days I have left) to go.. we end up getting there later than planned (from originally 10:30 to being 2:30ish =_=) because of other things that came up and things they decided to do on that day instead of another frickin' day. The runs were a bit icy and we ended up staying for night skiing so it was dark and creepy ~_~... There was only one run open at night too so it was kinda boring. The lifts were slow and tedious... the lift up took 10x longer than the run so most of the time went wasted, waiting to get up to the top. I got lost from the group after taking the wrong turn that brought me to a kiddy park and the entrance @#%%. The kiddy park rope (instead of a lift) was frickin' FAST! I had so much trouble just trying to get up the damn HILL! I don't know how the kids do it, but they're good XDD;; For the second half, I just went a few times by myself before I received an SMS and I suddenly remembered I received an SMS a bit before that. Apparently it was an SMS from the other group, telling me they were LEAVING. So I rushed down after that, after worrying them for a good half 'n hour, reported to the snow patrol even :X

I forgot I need new bindings.

Yesterday I hung out downtown with Simon. We originally wanted to [finally] try KINTARO but, we got screwed over again! We got there to find out [AGAIN] that they're closed on MONDAYS! Aahahahaha...ha.. We ate at Gyoza King instead. Ironically, everything there was really good EXCEPT THE GYOZA. We also visited an awsome art bookstore called Oscar on Broadway and Granville. If only we were able to spend more time there...! But parking is brutal and our plans were mainly Downtown so we left after a mere 45mins that only allowed me to go through TWO BOOKSHELVES (1/12 of the store?)... Not to mention the windy weather was insanely cold and painful to walk in. We did some good ol' window shopping after food... I DID find stuff I wanted (new stock, in fact), BUT they didn't have my sizes (go figure). Could be a good thing... I'm still quite financially unstable. The money I save will SOMEHOW have to be preserved until AX07. Insanely impossible. Not that I'm earning much to begin with (with the little hours I'm working..)... and I have my orders of manga goodness to fulfill and the occassional figurine here and there (*cough Wild Arms pinky:st*).

Agh why are we doing Dynamis-Windurst again.

Year 1, First Semester = 終了 FINISH

おめでとう?
The first semester has come and gone pretty quickly. Now's the start of a brutal one month break of WORK (wtf!). Oh how much I detest having to work... but knowing I'm seriously going to DIE if I don't work to get some money, I have no choice! The things I want to get! The things I need to do! The stuff I need to PAY! The insanity!

Ugh, I haven't been able to get some new bindings yet and I plan on going up this Saturday too... I really hope my current ones don't break on me up there. I'm giving up a days work to go up... now that I think of it, it's a bit of a waste of a precious work day. Can't turn back now! It just better be good! I haven't gone up this season and I'm itching to use my pass. I'm gunna feel so shit after my first trip though... Good ol' soreness for the next few days.. I can see it now.

A bit of a recap: The past week was, yes, the last week of school. Tuesday, handed in the last project for our computer class. It was a photo composition and manipulation project and the only pictures I had were really old crap from 2003, so I used those. Then I realized that my Adobe's colour colaboration's all off again! AGH.. another thing to add to the list of to-dos. Wednesday rolls around... handed in the last project for that class -- our sports logos. Oh how I hate paint and yet I ended up using paint as my medium. Friday, we all handed in our final essays. Ugh I had so much trouble condensing all my content (which, I guess, could be a good thing...) since my topic's sources were so resourceful. I got to the point when I didn't know if I was on topic anymore.. but I kept going anyways. I'm not THAT worried about this essay (even though it's 25%)... my overall average's pretty good in that class, so phew.

Over the weekend, I had to WORK. Worked at the The Bay Richmond for the first time. The staff there are rather nice in comparison to Oakridge's.. but at the same time, there are still staff that you can't seem to get along with. And another thing! The stock and supplies at the Richmond location were so lacking, it was deadly to my lines. I mainly lacked tester bottles and gift sets, which is like, pretty much all the necessities to sell my product. Woohoo. So I worked with what I was limited with on the weekend and spammed a bit to my rep. She hasn't replied to me yet so I don't know if I'll show up to work tomorrow with a face full of new stock. If not.. well... more death for me [and the company].

Oh, also over the weekend... I, who, for some reason, became blind for a split second [or more] couldn't see where I was backing into and ended up scratching the paint of my CAR. Such cruel fate. Oh how it must taunt me so. Something not pleasant for the wallet. I am now the new Sofa King.

[Happy] Monday flies in. I woke up early to do a bunch of errands in the morning then headed to the very last day of class. We handed in our wildlife park sign projects and presented our work based on criteria and the Instant Death system for evaluation. I was like... 1/2 into the first criteria before I got killed. At least my work smells like cinnamon~ (yay for Mr.Sketch!) After the lecture-ful last class, some of us headed off to go grab some munchies and drinks for the 'celebraion'-ish gettogether wrapup party (whatever it's called). We park by the wrong building [because of a particular someone] and we end up having to walk to the other building which was at the other end. We brought our portfolios for display and discussion and holy crap, were the portfolios impressive or what *_*! Made me kinda glad that most of my port is digital. I stayed until I was sober enough to drive home (which was 930-10ish.. so it was about 6 hours long).

Tuesday. A great day to sleep in. I wake up to realize I wasted the whole bloody day sleeping. Dynamis-Windurst'd until Mo2 and Braman came by to take a look at my basement. Looks liks she might be moving in in January~ XD

Agh I don't wanna work I don't wanna work I don't wanna work! *whine*

Ok I'm done. Touch on other things later. Gotta sleep... WORK tomorrow morning.

Crunch Time!

Oooh it's the last week (+1 day) of school! Excited? I'm not sure. There's quite a bit to do though... project for Wednesday, essay for Friday, another project for Monday and THEN it's over. I got scheduled to work lots on the weekend too... it's gunna interfere with my Monday project. Not to mention, the rest of my Christmas break! Oh how I wish I didn't need to work... there's so much backlog (that I keep mentioning >_>) to do! *head to desk*

Oh yeah, it's December!

The crazy snow fall last week closed the school down for that Monday. Then classes resumed the day after (boo)... the roads were all slippery and icy. Freaking annoying to drive in... especially when trying to park back into the garage... I always got stuck. >_<

Last Friday we had Simon's early birthday slash goodbye hotpot dinner. Um, I stunk like perfume that night (yay for work!). There were plenty of people doing their last-minute essay editing. A few rounds of MJ... Cooking Mama! And the strangeness of Trama Center.

Oh, I also caught a nasty flu on the weekend too. I had hell trying to do my final exam Friday morning as I was dripping everywhere! XP Then I fell dead Saturday night and only started to get better today...

But...
We arrive at school to find that the power's out. We did today's lecture and class in the lightless, heatless room. Everyone had to wear jackets. Later on in the class, we began to panic when it started to get darker in the classroom (as the sun was going down). Tomorrow's a computer class. I wonder if they'll get it up by then? They should.

I also hit 74 for BRD the other day. Then I attempted to try out BLU but had too much trouble trying to LEARN FRI#*$KING SPELLS so I'll be dropping that one and trying COR.. probably. I've had constant invites for mana burn parties (from the same guy lol) which brought me up to 74 pretty quickly. It was actually my first time in a BLM mana burn party that time so it was pretty fun.

Chocobo Mazurka is love <3.

.. and RIP to my first chocobo.

Come on 1.Red/2.Black/3.Blue chocobo...!!!

S-N-O-W!!

It's the end of November... and it's SNOWING!
This insane weather starts off on Friday after school when I got to get off early by like 2 hours! just to be greated with a sudden shower of hail. Then it follows with a peaceful yet extremely chilly nightfall. A fellow classmate held a class gathering at her place that night for some drinking and just some good ol' mingling. I arrive rather 'late' (she said to start at 8), arriving at 9 and yet I end up being one of the firsts to show up (second, to be precise). Then I get constantly attacked by her roommates' dog until more people began showing up... that was when he diverted his attention to the other people. People came and went... more people stayed then leave of course. Another classmate brought some awsome homemade pudding that was a mix of macadamean (sp~!) taste and some sort of strong alcohol. Nonetheless it was very good. I fled early [~12am] (because I could).

Saturday -- it was FREEZING. I woke up early for an interview as a perfume demo (who would've thunk it!) and well I got it o_O. Work starts Thursday. Most, if not all, of my shifts are from Thursday to Sunday. Byebye to my weekends~

The pressure is on...!

I return home and join my bro in Dynamis for once. It was weird cuz he'd be in the other room screaming at me about what to do >_>... "CURE *****!" "RAISE *****!" etcetc... Mmmm kinda annoying actually. And yeah, there were no af drops throughout the whole run. Probably the second time it has ever happened... And during all of this.. the snow began to build up.......

After Dynamis ends disappointingly, I was then welcomed with a big blanket of snow outside. Not to mention COLD TOO. I made my way to Mike's housewarming party. I find the place without trouble... and with no furniture. I walk in to see a big circle of people playing poker. Eh. The others were just playing silly drinking side games in which I joined in... A bit later, more people show up and we just talk.. then we had CHEESE with crackers and high-class Italian liquor. Had some balloon fights, pudding, chip mixing (inside joke >_>), Mac ranting (only me vs. 2 pro-Macs >_>)... and then we went for bubble tea. LOL? Yeah talk about a drinking party right. We charged into Bubble World 5 mins before they closed, ordered and fled. Long time no bubble tea~ and it was good :33

I woke up half dead... and sleeping in too much. And so the snow continues to fall... I didn't leave the house today. Had fried chicken for dinner. Died 3 times in party today. The JP PT was overambitious and led me to confusing Mamook territory and then confronting a Popoggo! TRUE SOUND WTF! EVIL LITTLE FROGS WITH PARTY HATS! *motions angrily* FIST.

It doesn't look ilke the snow's gunna stop anytime soon... My guess is that there's no school tomorrow but it hasn't been frickin' announced yet. C'mon Kwantlen! What are you waiting for! Every other school has! There's no way I'll be driving to school in THAT weather tomorrow!!

Uptime: 41 Hours

Had an all nighter yesterday (or wait, that's the night before) for a team project we had to do. It weird thing was that we started well before the due date and yet we still ended up having to do it last minute. Well the bad thing was that my other two teammates are easily distracted! >_<; Every other minute, they'd go off and talk about something else and then FE@I$O%WJ^FI please, if we stayed on topic and focused, I bet we didn't have to pull the all nighter at all. But oh well, it couldn't be helped. We started at 10AM Thursday, worked until 10PM at school, then moved our quarters to one of the teammates' place from 10PM to 530AM. Then we disbanded to shower and change etc and met up at school at 730AM to print our 17 page handout 20 times. Not cheap I tell you.. not to mention, the photocopying machine copied really nastily. *shakes head* There goes 60 bucks. So we end up going in late into class as soon as we were done. We then did our 45 minute presentation (pretty well, mind you -- 'cept a few misinformed facts by a teammmate).... After class, we finally handed in out extremely overdue books (3 weeks after the initial due date) we referenced. Finally got to go home.... decided not to sleep until night time. And I ended up standing up till 3AM this morning... I forced myself to sleep 10+ hours just because... and I did. XD

Levelled bard to 71 and got to wear my sexy slippers XP ... my parties sucked a lot yesterday though. It wasn't until the very end there was a good party but then I was feeling extremely dead tired for sleep. I also got enough points to get the Walahra turban! Now I got a sexy purple turban XP

This recent water epidemic is funny... On Thursday I drank a whole bottle of water from the tap [filtered] so the warning was a bit late for me.

Oh I haven't started my homework yet... crud. Oh how I love painting arrrrggaa!

380 Damage

Went to Holt Renfew today and got my mom her birthday+Christmas present. At least I split the bill with my bro but it was still mighty painful lol. Ooh but I did see a bag with the latest white/grey checker style [the same one my mom got] in a bigger size that i liked *cough1060cough*.

Huumm.. did some slacking this weekend. There's still a day and a half(-ish) left of the long weekend and I've got quite a bit to do (the school stuff :T)... so I'm not so sure how it'll work out. Working on a group project all day tomorrow, followed by a family dinner at night. Hmm, crap. I guess that's a sign for me to get working.

PS3 released two days ago in Japan... Famitsu and ITMedia have nothing but PS3 articles... stuff about over 1k people lining up overnight for it, hardware already getting dismantled and examined, release events... no actual reviews yet I don't think.. Not that I've been actually trying to look for them though. I encountered a funny poll though...

プレイステーション 3、買えた?
買えた 8%
買えなかった 10%
買わなかった 67%
あ! 忘れてた…… 13%

Heh, I wonder why. xb

NOVEMBER!

I swear.. didn't I just say "IT'S OCTOBER!", like, a few posts ago?

So yeah...
IT'S NOVEMBER!

Update:
Almost time to register for next semester's courses ALREADY, man like wtf. That reminds me, my brother's playing "WTF" right now... As for me, I started playing Children of Mana today~ Very fun stuff~ Can't wait to play multiplayer with my bro! I'm still playing FFXI... our Dynamis linkshell, DyNaMITE, disbanded the other day.. very shocking.. very sudden... will have to move to another LS... I've been missing 'em Biesieged's! Now EVERYONE's always gathering up for it.. making Al Zahbi too full [700 ppl] for anymore people (meaning, the early birds get the worm)... I've also been playing PSU -- Phantasy Star Universe. Feels kinda the same as the old PSO lol. Character creation could've used more work with the customization...

I look forward to December and the things I need to do lol. I'll have to keep reminding myself of this horrible... horrible... HORRIBLE backlog. I've been reminded of the fact that my domain and everything on it is so outdated... I've been reminded of the fact that I'm missing out on some awsome anime (e.g. Code Geass..!) I've been reminded of the fact that I have a giant pile of games that are waiting for me to play them... I've been reminded of the fact that my room [the house] is a mess and needs to be cleaned... I've also just been reminded that it's quarter past one and I have a class at 8 tomorrow morning.

Team Project Part.X

Okay, I can't stop ranting about this guy. He's obviously getting the easy way out of all this... he doesn't like this 'teamwork' thing very much. We've been splitting up the work on almost everything now... we've only spoken to agree on minor things... ideas and the rest are done separately. It leaves me a bit worried though... what if I'm not up to par with his work? Damn.. too much responsibility this way... I prefer the shared effort so we feel that the both of us have contributed equally, giving balanced ideas.. not this... strange, separate work stuff. He already thought of 6 ideas for his part that HE chose after he did the 6. Now I gotta die here with my part that he threw at me. Ugh. Gotta go work now.

chiwa~

Continuing off from the last post... my partner really, seriously, truly [for some strange reason] doesn't like me! He was being all friendly and saying he'd follow up with me Friday (said this Wednesday) on some ideas for our next task in the project. He doesn't come! He doesn't say anything! We actually went down the bloody elevator to the parking lot together and he says NOTHING! What, am I supposed to be the one to initiate the conversation for some bloody reason? Ok then, today, Monday, I went and did that. He answered me half-heartedly and said he had some ready and that was it. End of subject. Ookay... not going to tell me about it eh? From the way he spoke, he was obviously lying though. Not trying to be skeptical about him or anything but seriously this is messed up. And the bad thing is that he sits right across from me in Monday and Wednesday classes (facing each other). Also today, we had to form temporary groups of 3 to discuss the homework we've done together... him, being a possible 3rd decides to go to the other group beside him becoming a 4th instead. HEY! I actually don't care but c'mon, aren't we supposed to be more friendlier after working together? Ugh this is so upsetting. At least the poster task for last week turned out all right. During the presentation though, however, he started taking credit for things he didn't do and gave himself more credit on stuff that -I- didn't do instead. Sniff.. that kinda hurts. I only want to be friends ;___;...... or at least until this damn project is over. Fuck!

Change subject...

FFXI: I've been trying to catch every Besieged raid lately! Just yesterday, we had to deal with a back-to-back level 5 besieged that killed off 4 of our generals lol. Thank goodness when I checked today, someone went and saved them. I suspect the next one's a Lv6er! I can't wait~ The immense lag and lack of movement is so amusingly awsome, and yet you're still somehow able to fight and heal. Very strange, but very fun. I only wish it would occur more frequently.. XP!

Wow.. it's the end of October almost... dude, where'd October go?

I have such a giant backlog of shit to do, it's not even funny: website stuff... computer stuff... anime stuff... burning stuff... organizing stuff... cleaning stuff...

I'll probably end up holding all of it off until Christmas time.

6th week

Eeee we're into the SIXTH WEEK of the school semester! I can't stress it enough -- time's going by too fast!

Anyways, this week's filled with plenty of school work too: summaries, reading material, PAINTING, poster presentation...

Well! My new rig's up and in good working order.. 'cept a few kinks and some more tweaking before I officially transfer all my stuff over. I love all the free space I have! It reminds me of when I got my previous computer... I fear I'll fill it up too soon. I will learn proper file management this time! XD

Agh, I'm seriously disliking Wild Arms 4. The voices, the character designs, the battle system, the field perspective, the world map system, the HARD enemies (?!),.... They frickin' HURT! At least your HP is filled back to full after battles. Wtf name is ArNAUD? Not to mention, the whole main cast look like wussies. I've had so much trouble with the lighting (half cuz of the perspective as well) too... I can't tell if there's suddenly a bloody hole in front of me! From how it's being played out so far... it looks like the direction of the game will be very fixed... gasp, there might not be any of those juicy MILLENIUM PUZZLES? I SO cannot accept this as a Wild Arms game! >_<;;

Onto other gaming news... I FINALLY installed the ToAU expansion... Apparently I need mission 2 first to be able to participate in Beseiged, get sanction, get EXPERIENCE(!), get imperial standing points... ugh... where have all MY FFXI friends go :( I guess that's the bad thing about using this account.. :[[

About the job hunting.... I think I've changed my mind about it. I might be able to hold off until November, and just apply for student loan. I can't imagine myself taking on a job at a time like this... school's more busier than expected, which kinda sucks. Telus called... I'm too lazy to call back. Hmm, that's bad. Kinda don't wanna go through the whole interview routine... so 面倒くさい

I desperately need my manga fix though. My orders are not on their way yet still... aaaghagh, let me read something else besides just SCHOOL STUFF!

HOSHITZ!ITSOCTOBER

SO LIKE..! OCTOBER!
Where the hell did September go?!

So I just wasted/spent (whichever now, I don't know anymore) 5 hours on homework, like every week actually (on only one class too...). Now, I'm slacking cuz I'm glad that's over (for now).

Gasp, my fecking order from NCIX is actually working out for a DAMN CHANGE! My super awsome fan of silentness is actually ON ITS WAY! Ohhh, just days before the REAL completion of my computer! Yes, the previous attempt with the crappyass Asus motherboard does not count. But thing still annoys me -- their phone service sucks BAD! I was kept on hold for an hour plus, trying every day trying to get ahold of the store to get an ETA on my stuff but I never get through.. and after listening to the same few songs again and again, I end up getting DISCONNECTED. What a nerve...

Oh, I finished WA3 the other day. The ending was dumb lol... man, what happened to the awsomeness of the first installment of Wild Arms? The crazyness at the end that made you scream, "Rudyyyyyyyyy!!! Noooooo~" The first game still holds the top spot, yup. And I hear the 4th is pretty bad too... I'll be attempting that starting tomorrow. Oh and about the last boss... strange, tentacle mutated monster thing that I killed with TWO MERE SUMMONS. *sigh* What disappointment... There were some good things though: The characters were all good.. I even came to like Virginia at the end (I didn't like her in the beginning)... Clive became a wimp at one point so meh, not so much him... Jet was the smex cuz his was my ultimate damage dealer! Gallows and his facial expressions were quite amusing. Oh and Beatrice is dumb. But her final form is really coool looking <3 [/WA3]

Ahhh, PacificBoarder sale tempts me again! I NEED NEW BINDINGS IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS! But where's the money? There IS NONE!!

I went with my 2nd choice computer case (the Antec P180) and wow, it's quite a surprise. Lots of fun, neat features, especially the harddrive cages and the drive snap ons. However! I bet it still wouldn't be as awsome as my Lian Li P-80 one! *sigh* It still depresses me very much so. To add onto the depression: the motherboard's layout's actually kinda badly arranged as my hot video card is directly above the motherboard's heat regulator causing the motherboard to hit 60 celcius and up. It may not seem like a problem now, but I sure don't want it to be a problem in the future, so I'll be switching back to the now available DFI motherboard I wanted. Now I just need to hang in there, and wait for the parts (including some better cooling) I've ordered. PATIENCE!!!! AGH!!

Onto school-related matters...
The drone teacher has continued to overwork us with his super vague explanations and expectations. The continuation of spending over XX hours on his assignments. And he actually wants us to mount our works on FOAMCORE (in which I responded "screw that, posterboard it is"). Ugh so much HOMEWORK, HE'S INSANE!

I grabbed a [random] volume of Busou Renkin from the library the other day. Watsuki-sensei, what the HELL is with your latest character designs? A moon-shaped head man, a guy in spandex wearing a butterfly mask, and a butler-looking guy with a butterfly-SHAPED moustache?!?? Not to mention a disturbing little PINK robot/alien looking thing with hearts? And what, it's being animated too? I am being mightily weirded out...

Boy I'm tired... did I already mention I need a job? I think so... I napped when I came home from school today and I'm still tired now. Ah! I'm sleeping early, good night~

Uh, what is it? the 3rd week now?

So, school's been pretty managable... so far. Now that I've settled in to school life, I've gotten the chance to take a look at the work potion again. Boy, do I not want to go to work or do I not want to go to work! Man, I don't want to go back to work. But after observing my credit card bills for this first month... I won't last. Time to face reality: I need a job. I actually considered going back to my previous job I just "quit" (aka. stopped going :b) but with that motivation of NOT wanting to go back in mind, I did some [weak] job searching and I managed to find a [pretty] perfect place. Strangely, I'll be potentially returning to the world of dentistry. The lady who interviewed me is already ready to hire me as soon as I give her the word. Apparently I fit her ideal candidate really well: she needed computer skills, someone to cover afternoon shifts, only 15 hours a week, had conversational Japanese [well it was just a plus actually XD]... My ONLY IRK is that because we're located right across from the Richmond Hospital, the whole area around us requires PAY PARKING! Now the pay parking isn't cheap, especially for the whole day. Even a round-trip bus ride is cheaper, so imagine that. There -are- parking passes but not enough to go around to me... since I'm the newbie, I don't get first dibs. SO! If YOU know anyone who lives around Gilbert Road and Westminster Highway in Richmond, GIVE ME A SHOUT PLEASE!!!!

Ah yes, the 18th has come and gone... and NCIX has failed me again. I contact them on the 18th and then I was told that it was pushed back to the 29th! FUCK! So I guess I'll live without my sexy, awsomely unique case and just go with my backup. But now the bastards haven't replied to me to give me the yes to the change and for me to go pick it up. Yes, I'm going to fricking pick it up so I don't have to wait for Purolator to show up at my door, MISS ME, and FORCE ME to go pick it up at their location the next day anyways. Talk about depressing...

Only once my manga comes in the mail will I be happy again~~~ *floats away*

School... Week 1 + 2

「あ゛ー 忙しい忙しい…」
*drones like the overweight taste judge from Yakitate!!*

I've visited Loomis one too many times the past week, and I'm very much sick of the place. Our typography teacher (who also teaches our image development class) sends us to go buy materials needed for that class at that time right in the middle of class! Then after the class he gives us this giant list of other materials we'll need that are soo specific (+expensive) they're only available at certain specialty stores. And unfortunately for us, if you didn't want to buy it from our bookstore (which is overpriced 10x), you'd have to go to the other side of the city to grab the stuff you need. And so yes, I had to make a few trips (needing this, exchanging that, etc.) and having to go through the bloody TRAFFIC. If it wasn't for the bloody TRAFFIC, I wouldn't mind going down there a few more times even. But nooo~ there's the "Canada Line" construction shit going on, preventing you from turning left and right, they cut down 3 lanes into one, then there's the fricking SWARMS of CARS.. Agghaghh.. I won't be going down there again anytime soon (hopefully never again, but I doubt it...) I had to go through the worst traffic EVERRRR. I've come to appreciate the crappy traffic that Richmond has, compared to what I had to endure D:

So like, our typography/image development teacher is a drone. He goes on and on.. tossing in subtle jokes that no one laughs at. He's very vague with what he wants from us... especially homework. Everyone ended up going to class with something different.. because he wasn't clear enough on what he wanted. I rendered 6 different typefaces today (yes, drawing them by hand), it has taken me about 5 hours in total, and I'm still not done with his homework. That's how much stuff he gives us to do.. ~_~ His classes are the most busiest and the most expensive out of all the other teachers' classes. I fear it will be a looong year with him (well four, since I'll probably get him again every year).

The print production class is pretty slow right now. We were just taught the basics of Illustrator (gasp, it works just like Photoshop!) and the usage of vectors scare me... >_> Ok, I'm just not that used to them but I'm working on it...! And about the Macs. Wow I dislike Macs even mooooore. Wtf with the one button mouse (easily replacable I know), the "minimizing" of folders when you close them (can't seem to like that.. I want to CLOSE it not "MINIMIZE" it -- feels like it's never really CLOSED), the scrollbars (agh blue swirly of hate!), transparent backgrounds for applications (aagh there's a bloody hole in my application! >_<;;), this merging of toolbars at the top (which one's for which dammit?!).. ok there are good things too.. like the fact that there's a USB slot in the keyboard (very spiffy and convenient).. and... ah, that's all I can think of. Maybe not too many pros after all... my cons outweigh my pros, therefore I still dislike Macs. End of story.

Last is the "history" class. Pretty interesting so far... I hear we had to (or at least should) take notes... I haven't taken any yet.. hm, problem.

There's was an insane rain storm a few hours ago. It fell like there was no tomorrow, seriously. As if the sky was constipated all this time (that explains the blasting hot weather) and suddenly it had diarrhea. Well, the rain was so bad that our roof drainage wasn't draining fast enough and our house started flooding in. Our front door was getting soaked as the water poured in like whoa. The water was literally gushing through the door cracks. Thank goodness (or thank God actually) that it finally did stop though. That was some experience though. :] But it put our house into perspective -- it needs repairs.

And GASP @ the Squenix spread (specifically the broken armored) in the latest Jump mag

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL..!!

Wheee~ It feels like ages since I've used both 'first day' and 'school' together in the same sentence..!!

My first class, Print Production and something something, was pretty straightforward. We had to brainstorm "What is important?" as an ice-breaker.. which didn't really break any ice at all. The volunteer that went up to write our ideas on the board was bad at spelling and had really ugly writing but oh well. I give him creds for doing it. Unfortuately there aren't any hot guys (damn!!) in my class... and I'll be sticking with these peeps for FOUR years. So anyways, apparently our labs are Macs... it almost makes me wanna get a MacBook to accompany it since apparently all the big companies [related to publishing, graphics, etc] out there use Macs too. Almost.. I said almost.

The first class then gets cut short for a mandatory orientation to follow. Faculty introductions.. mini speeches.. then we get split into little groups to form "mentors" which is really just randomly picking one student from each year. We mingled a bit and discussed various experiences in and out of school. I'll probably never see them again lol... Then there was a random prize drawings for some book on politics that I didn't win. Instead, when the reps from the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada came to present, I won a year of membership! *___* After their presentation, I actually considered joining later in the program (3rd/4th year maybe) since it sounded like such a good open window to opportunities and networking.

Ooof, I'm so full of juice I stuffed myself with at the orientation brunch.

After the orientation, I headed towards work to grab my last paycheque. They REFUSED to pay my vacation pay! ...like wtf?! Probably because they don't have the money, but that's still no excuse! After full time, I don't receive anymore vacation pay, so it should be paid off now just incase they forget, in which I know they will. And they didn't pay my last day of work either (Sept.1 :<)... ugh now I have to wait until the NEXT payday which is in another 15 days for that ONE DAY'S PAY! Ugh! >_<

Oh silly SO3, I finally beat yo ass. It was nothing a little weapon refining couldn't solve. The small fry felt even harder than the bosses at the end. And Luther, ha, he was pathetic. The ending was pretty blah too. Especially my private ending too... I was looking forward to it and guess who I ended up with? ADRAY?!!? I IMMEDIATELY went to read up on the endings and realized it was the default aka. the neutral ending where I don't end up with anyone. I'm glad I didn't end up with Sophia though.. but Adray rofl, gross. A side note, the Spiral Tower bgm kept giving me Morning Musume "Love Machine" moments. Ah well, I've had enough so that's the end of it.

I've restarted on WA3 now. I've missed the lovely overuse of whistling <3

My bro's finally completed his BST AF2 gear! Yay! Looks like his month's starting off good~ I'm so happy for him! XD

We organized a surprise bday celebration for Mike in secret because he had to cancel his potential party due to other problems. It was relatively successful, I think he was surprised! XD Not sure of his reaction.. lol.

And gasp, school starts tomorrow! /panic

Ahh there's so much going on lately!

Monday rolled around and in came two of my packages! A giant light one which contained my beloved Nao figure~ I've finally gotten my grubby hands on her, rar! XD The second small and heavy one was my order of manga! Gasp, Vampire Knight is so frickin' shoujo -- I LOVE IT! After reading all three volumes of what's out, I'm still torn between which main guy to favour. Hmm, I might just like both of them equally (for now anyways)... Then came Tuesday and my textbook for school from amazon.com. Hm I'm still waiting on one more.. two others aren't in transit yet so they don't count.

So, about the employer who left a message on my answering machine that my dad had deleted... well I finally, FINALLY got ahold of the lady who called me (after a dozen tries) and we had a little phone interview. To my dismay, even after the good conversation, I couldn't take on the job because I wouldn't be able to attend the training due to a schedule conflict with one my classes. Ugh.. ultra super disappointment. I was THIS CLOSE in working for my cellphone provider, Fido!

I've also been having hell with my computer lately. First, I noticed my IE browser started acting up on me so immediately I knew I got infected by something. I did some scans, cleaned it out BUT my IE browser didn't fix! I tried to do a little reseaching but without much luck. Then my computer would now freeze when I open up Add/Remove Programs... then it froze when I tried reading from one of my HDDs. Then I thought it was the HDD that was being dumb so I took it out. Next I tried to defrag but when I came back it restarted itself. Ugh... what. is. going. on. I've already somewhat given up on trying to fix/find out whatever that's wrong [maybe the bloody memory] and just wait really REALLY patiently for my new case to arrive so I can build my new one. As soon as the new one's done, I can move everything out safely and then slowly figure out what's going on (perhaps a little /deltree would do the trick) before I pass it to my mom. But SIGH that won't be anytime SOON now EH.

I'm paranoid so I'm using FireFox right now.

I'm also trying to continue SO3 right now. Wow it's difficult. I keep trying to rotate the camera and recover after getting hit with the O button -- KH2 style. I'm having trouble just levelling! Ugh, I regret dropping the game for so long. I'm tempted to put it off again, but then I'd still come back to it later and then I'd forget how to play all over.

Yay frustration rocks! Headache.. sleep.

1st Aaaaaaaargh:
I received a message on my answering machine regarding a job application and my dad goes and DELETES IT THE DAY I GET IT. No he didn't do it on purpose... but the timing was really bad... considering there were 8 other old messages on the answering machine that no one bothered deleting for days. So you would've thought that no one would continue to bother cleaning it out. I got home to hear it once, went to take a shower, had dinner and went back to write down the information but THE MESSAGE WAS GONE. I then spent the next few days trying to figure out who to contact with only the call display number at hand. The friggin receptionist didn't know jack on who to forward me to and when I tried just general HR, no one picked up. Then my cellphone decides to DIE ON ME. My work hours are the same as their office hours, so it was always too late when I arrived home to call. *bangs head on desk* However, I have no plans on giving up on this yet...! I've tried e-mail, in hoping I'd get some sort of response and I'll continue to phone spam more on Monday.

2nd Aaaaaarrrrrrgh:
Third damage to my car inflicted by my mom this time. The curb was too low so the door scraped the cement. So hurt...

3rd AAAarrrrrrgh:
MY CASE!

4rd AAaarrrrrgh:
My mandatory program orientation and the first day of class schedules overlap. Been trying to call the department every day, no one's ever home.

5th AAArrrrrgh:
My school parking pass is so EXPENSIVE; I'm SO POOR.

The Aaaargh's aside though...
Angela's, my co-worker who recently left the company to return to China soon, friend had a live show downtown on Thursday and she invited us to join her. I met up with Angela at a B-Line bus stop to go down together. At first I went on a bus too early and missed her, but that was easily fixed by getting on and off. XD We met up with Trevor [another co-worker] and her girlfriend at Robson and Seymour and walked down to Guu together. Can you believe it? The guy purposely drove his convertible with only two seats so he didn't have to drive us too? How selfish, ぷんぷん! But anyways, we waited quite a while for seats but it was well worth it. Had too much fun with the origami paper used to wrap the wooden chopsticks. XD After food, we window shopped a few stores and then made our way to the pub, The Pic. We got there a bit early so we sat around and talked. Another co-worker, Kevin, showed up a bit later to join us. The performance started late due to the sound guy that decided not to show up on time. We had to listen to some other performers before her friend, who was the main event, and everyone couldn't wait, so they all left me and Angela. However, they totally missed out as their performance was really awsome!!! Rock and alt with absolutely powerful and amazing vocals, Angela's friend being the awsome vocalist, of course. The demo songs on her myspace doesn't do justice as her live performance is incomparable! My favourite being "Time, My Friend"! Wanting!

Hung out with Tek today to find that blueberry season is BACK! And to realize that I'm still very moneyless.

One more week of F/T work left. May I never have to return to that workplace ever again after this. The end.

Hmm I'm listening to UVERworld's PRIME right now... "Typing WASHOI"!

EDIT: Wow I just realized I haven't updated any sites for a whole YEAR now! This layout's a year old.

EDIT2: I updated the side bar to reflect the current me [finally!].

Backordered Case

I patiently waited two weeks, like they told me to. I didn't receive any response from them within the timeframe so I thought I'd check up on it by sending in a ticket. And voila, I find out that it's being delayed for another FUKING MONTH! So... I'm so very hurt inside right now but I think I will wait after all. I really like the case and even though all my other parts are ready and the warranties are slowly being eaten away by time [and dust], I will wait. Patience pays off as I've learned. I just hope they don't disappoint me further and tell me half way that it's no longer available or something really heartbreaking like that. Ok, I'm going to go cry the corner now, hugging my computer parts.

Keyblade war (笑

Mysterious guys in armor made me laugh out loud.

Ok, so I managed to finish two series today. One being Kingdom Hearts 2 finally. Yes, took me one too many tries to beat Sephiroth >_>; Then the boss battle was wtf. The ship flying thing was out of nowhere... er, actually all the phases in the last battle were out of the blue. Did I mention this game's really dramatic? It's like, Tetsuya Nomura fell in love with his FFVII:AC's overdramaticness and implemented it into KH2. Ah well.. made me felt like I was playing a kiddie's game the whole time though. So much 'reaction' (which felt like a cheat button, but you HAVE to push it) and not enough... ehh... normal killing. But it was a fun ride nonetheless. I got my endgame stats up *points to flickr*

The second series is Chrno Crusade [finally!]. Happyish sadish ending. Everything worked out, especially for Rosette [spoiler] as she was able to see him at the very end before she left the world. A bit of a shocker seeing that Satella 'lived' through all those years (Daphne in the Brillant Blue, anyone?) but everyone lives (and dies) at the end -- but normally, naturally -- so it's all good. [/spoiler] Now, I hear the anime ending was pretty bad in comparsion though... *curious*

Ohh right, there's work tomorrow...

Busy Busy Busy...

Wow this month's freaking busy. Go figure! Right before another big turn in life...

So, one of my co-worker's, Angela, last day is Tuesday so we (more like me!) decided on a little farewell party Friday night. We invited everyone at work but it became a small gathering instead (which is good). We started the night with eating at The Keg right after work. And as always, the lineup was long but the food was great. After, the majority parted ways as me and two others went to play some pool. It just so happens we bump into her friends there as well. We finished up our pool (man, I suck at it now!) and played some -erotic- Photo Hunt before she continued on to drink with her other friends. Then there was the odd conversation about threesomes and foursomes... o_o;

AE06. Again.. nothing to really look forward to.. but a 'tradition' to go nonetheless *points to collection of badges* /geek

This year, Shi2 wasn't able to make it so I went myself and met up with Ryan. I felt bad for not being able to bring him his mask for his costume... None of us were able to get ahold of Shi2 to get the mask to begin with tho :\ And I don't plan on returning tomorrow (today) nor Monday so even if I was able to get in contact with Shi2, I can't bring it to him. <_<; So anyways, I arrive there late and headed to the dealer's room first (of course, ming!). Well the dealer's room wasn't exactly very "dealer's room"-like this year. It was located in the school cafeteria / eating area so it was small. Another disappointment though... nothing but bootleg CDs, fake merchandise, Naruto, Inuyasha, Bleach.. come on peopleeee! My figurines were too damn expensive too! $80CND compared to, like, $30 on ebay. I saw Chrno Crusade 8 available so I snagged that.. even though it was marked up too... Then this other guy that looked like he was selling his old, used stuff sold me his 3x3 eyes vol.12 for 50 cents. FIFTY CENTS, you'd think there's something wrong... and indeed, it's quite battered up. Mmmkay 50 cents, I won't say anything.

And that was the end of my shopping. So, moving on... I then met up with Ryan at some VA's panel discussion. Kirby, Scott and A....A... A-something. They were funny people.. 'cept there were some questions that were, as expected, off-topic and dumb. The best retarded question goes to the guy who asked "If you had a choice to choose between strength, defence, or magic -- what would it be?" Cheers to the KH retard.

Then there was the Anime Walkoff. Ha.. I have so much yet really nothing to say about this event. First off, it's sad. So very sad. It consists of guys who THINK they're hot and they 'strut their stuff' by stripping and humping each other on stage. To be blunt, this event is catered to those who don't go clubbing, hang around Davie street, and/or can't get laid. Seriously, 'yaoi' is becoming overrated.

So after wasting an hour of my life, I visited Ryan's on campus townhouse and then returned to the main stage for the ZZ concert. Oh dear, the lead vocal singer is very cute. The concert was overall really good, especially the geeks that tried to dance. Very awsome entertainment value. Then near the end there was an annoying air-filled ball that was thrown around.. and then there was this f-ing girl that kept screaming for the ball. Not just normal screaming.. of course it had to be the high-pitched one. She broke more hairs in my ears than the concert itself. I unfortunately didn't bother searching my Newtype for something for them to sign, neither did I want to wait in line for another hour or so for their autograph, so I left.

Onto a bit on what I've been reading... Shinshi Doumei Cross: like spoiler, wtf Shizmasa has a twin? And fricking last four chapters of the tankoubon's omake side stories! Agh! And it looks like September's gunna be another hefty manga release month... I've got 8 on the list for next month!

Agh I'm so tired.. sleep I go.

Roxaaaaaaaasssssss!

Axeeeeeeeeeeel!!!!

And boy, do the bosses fall like flies. Were we even told the name of that punk with the guitar before we creamed him? The game feels awfully short though. Sephiroth is really pissing me off. He's the only thing left to do before the final boss. I think I'm going to give up on trying to beat him. He wasn't that much of a bitch in KH1 :/ Makes me wanna use a gameshark or something...

My computer parts have arrived.. I have everything EXCEPT... the case. EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE MOST ESSENTIAL PART! So, for now... I'll just stare and pretend that it'll be a good computer... just pretend. My case is on backorder.. they say about 5-8 BUSINESS days. Ooh how I hate the term now, "business days"... it forces me to add 2-4 more extra days to those BUSINESS DAYS because of stupid WEEKENDS. At least one thing's good is that I got my video card for super cheap... 'cept I might end up having to RMA it for the new model. lol, damn... good or not I don't know anymore. Everything requires waiting.

Then! I seem to have dropped my mobilemate for my phone's SD card. Crap, and I was about to transfer some phone stuff into my computer too. Now I bloody CAN'T! Now I'm deciding whether to buy another one or just get a non-mobile and keep it at home. I'll have to see to it later.

Also, ebay is tempting me again. Very bad... especially at this time. Already [should be] at my limit. But I got my Nao figure [finally!]~ And these other sets are pretty decent priced too... *grumble*

On to other news, I've FINALLY FINALLY started playing Kingdom Hearts 2. After waiting... 4 months! The PS2 is back upstairs! That means I can finally finish Star Ocean 3 and Wild Arms.. 3! Then start 4! Then there's Alter Code! Then Magna Carta! Hopefully while losing track of time (before reaching the second game on my list or even better, before I finish KH2) my computer case will magically appear at my doorstep and then I can finally start building!

I can already foresee an extremely busy, busy future.

And man, I feel sorry for Roxas.

Clean! ...and oh noes, Poorness!

Finally, my room's clean and rearranged. My brother's room's officially EMPTY! What a tiring week though... The majority of the posters are off my wall now. Still deciding which ones to keep on.. maybe one of each Pokemon and Sailormoon? XDD

I think I accidentally went over my Visa credit card limit the other day. I thought I changed it to my Master on the order but apparently I didn't. I had 51 cents left on the card lol. Aiya, I'm so bad. I hope the money I transferred made it on time to save me from the fee~ But seriously though... I'm doing some major spending this month... the biggest chunks being tuition and the computer. I won't have enough to get my parking pass until later this month... hm, all this right before school starts, when I return to P/T = less income.

About my computer again... debating whether to go all out and get 2X 1GB RAM, like, whoa! Also debating whether to get 36GB or 130GB 10k RPM for my main harddrive. The price differences for both situations are rather high... ~100 vs ~300. Then the next question is, why in the world would you go for the ~300$ in the first place! I'm thinking.. well, maybe I'll need the harddrive space... since everything would run a tonne better on that drive aka. photoshop(10GB), FFXI(10+GB), etc... or a total of 2GB worth of RAM... multitasking like there's no tomorrow: running BOTH photoshop AND FFXI at the same bloody time.. or something extremely insane like that. Man... the only thing that's holding me back is my credit card limit. Really.

Oh wait...

*thinks*

Do I even have enough money to pay off both cards? And pay my car bill? And my phone bill? Gas money? HM... forgot about those. Man, the timing is so bad. Oh well, I look forward to my next paycheque? :/ In like, two.. FRICKING WEEKS.

Ok, no one call me out from now on. If you do, you'll have to treat. Travelling is strictly only from home to work and viceversa. If the proposed activity is not on the way, that's too bad. Food? I ate at home. Phone me? Call me on the landline.

Oh hey, 649's $22mil.

Feeling: Content / Busy

y0!

Well, I've been at this cleaning thing for about a week and a half now.. almost two weeks. I'm loving the way my new room's looking and now I'm actually organizing my stuff instead of just throwing everything everywhere, whereever fits. Which explains why I've been taking extra long cleaning up and rearranging. But man, I got so much stuff. Did I mention I got a lot of stuff? Because I got a lot of stuff, all this stuff! Stuff stuff stuff...

Update on my computer: Decided NOT to wait for DFI after all, since I'm not an hardcore overclocker, I wouldn't know how to use it to its full potential anyway. As soon as the cleaning's done [ETA Saturday], I'll be ordering my computer [ETA Sunday]. Hopefully the parts'll arrive mid-week.. then I'll probably occupy myself with it next weekend. Long weekend this weekend eh. Good stuff!

Ah, work. Oh how I hate thee. I think we've all heard this one too many times but yes, looking for another job [again]! I don't want to hang around there when school starts. ETA for that, before September.

And that reminds me... what's with guys and using scissors to cut their nails???

The Heat...

Ok, it's been really hot. My dying PC hit 50 degrees the other day. About my new computer though, I've decided to wait until DFI releases their nf5 mobo to go with the [now] cheap AM2 Athlons. AM2 and DDR2 sounds fun to setup. It'll be interesting to build. Credits go to Mike for some tips and suggestions (e.g. Lian Li <3). More info tba.

But! Before then, I have to finish cleaning up/rearranging both my room, my computer room and the front room. Merging two rooms into one is no easy task.. 'specially when I got so much stuff. So far my biggest accomplishment is removing the desk from my bedroom! I gotta do something about all these posters I have on the wall too... They've been there for literally years. And to think I have to stare at them when my computer gets moved in... as if I don't get enough of them when I'm sleeping.

I also got a hair cut the other day. Didn't turn out the way I wanted... mainly because my actual barber went out of town and won't be back until mid-August. SO, I allowed my barber's HUSBAND do it for me and boy.. D: First my hair's too short.. next he dyed it too yellow. It looks like I'm wearing a wig everyday. *big sigh* The only positive thing is that it's summer and short hair is good.. I guess... I GUESS. The only HAPPY THING I CAN THINK OF RIGHT NOW...!

Well no, not entirely true. The PS2 has returned upstairs. I *CAN* play KH2 if I wanted to... but the July24th FFXI update got implemented yesterday and they've added soo many goodies. Raptor Mazurka Lv37! Mini version of Chocobo Mazuka available for us pre Lv75 Bards! New merits and job abilities! Eee, makes me wanna hurry up my Bard to Lv75 already just to test them out. My bro's meriting right now for Pro/Shell5, a new requirement for every WHM yep. Tier 2 black magic for BLM's as well! I'll have to finish leveling up that BLM after I'm done with BRD. Ahh~ I'll keep holding everything off until I finish my room cleaning and my new computer buildage. ETA: mid-Aug pre-Sept

*shakes DFI violently*

明日過去になった今日の今が奇跡~

Listening to "水田直志 - The Sanctuary of Zi'tah" because I haven't and I'm not going to play FFXI today. XP

I finally have Kingdom Hearts II in my hands. Just the other day my bro was bringing up his giant stash of games upstairs to add to his "Closet of Own" and presented me with my birthday present (finally lol). Ok, so I still can't play it until he moves back up... another month yes.

Monday.. My Air Gear #14 限定版 came in der mail! Finally got to read what happened to Simca. *cheers Sleeping Forest on* Ringo only shows up once though D:. And Ohm's technique's called "Bubblegum Crisis"? LOL, good stuff.

Tuesday.. Look what shows up! Fruits Basket #20! Twenty! But it's ending soon oooh... like gasp this happened and gasp that happened. Not gunna spoil it but... it's actually ending!! Unbelievable! Book #21 releases in SEPTEMBER! YEY! Judging from the preview page, Akito does the unthinkable to Tohru! Gasp some more!

Today [Thursday].. I had a talk with my manager finally and we've come to a mutual agreement with my job. So I get a bit of a raise for giving me more responsiblities and at the same time match it with my previous spa job's pay. They apparently wanna keep me for when I return to school too so they'll add some incentive. I actually got pissed off the other day because one of the other managers kept giving me stuff to do that wasn't part of the job I originally was told to do. I wouldn't of minded if I was originally informed that that was eventually gunna be my job and everything. Just that chinese companies... try and take advantage of you SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY! Gradually, without any notice you've already begun taking on multiple jobs and they still just pay you the minimum cuz you're still clueless on what's going on.

I also voiced my concern about the swearing at work during the meeting. Apparently he's been told about that problem by other people as well. Now that he's aware [once again] about it, he says he'll try and do something about it. A little reassurance, which is good. I then mentioned about how he's always so mean to me and this other co-worker. He apologized and said he'll try and stop himself from going too far. If not then I'd probably have to smack him so he catches his own mistake. Next I'll mention about the smoking... then about my crap workstation that diminishes my work efficiency. Man... the work ethics of this company though. Seriously needs some fixing. The co-worker that helped me get my position also feels the same as well. We'd be ranting about the problems within our company all the time to each other. Apparently we're also gunna start fresh with a new after we move cuz the currently company's name's credit soo bad they don't wanna keep it. However, switching it to a new name won't solve anything if they don't change their ways. It'll turn out the same again. Do they even realize.. -_-

"I'm like a bird, I only fly away!"

Aghgahg I'm so tired from the Zion retreat on the weekend~

So Friday I asked told work I had to leave earlier. Well I actually only told my manager (via. e-mail) so no one knew I was leaving early. Hm, maybe that was a bad choice... the fact that no one knew I was leaving early, everyone gave me funny looks but I didn't wanna hang around and tell him so I just left. Another bad thing was the big boss was around then so I think he might've saw me. Whether the manager actually told him I had to leave early is another story.

So, did I actually HAVE to leave early? Well, no, not really. I got home to do some last minute packing and then I vacuumed the house! Kinda strange but yes. But anyway, I was dying to vacuum the house the past week and everytime I came home, there'd be someone or something in my way... so finally yesss~! After moping around for far too long, Pat FINALLY calls me to ask if I was ready to go. So he comes, we're on the way.. going at like 160km/hr on the 99. We kinda play a bit of tag with a motorcyclist who decided to speed as well. We got there and arrived during the middle of the first talk so we decided not to join in until after. It looked like the schdule was behind. We poked around the camp site and checked out the beach. Soon enough they finally disband and move luggage into the rooms. I arrived at my cabin to see that my name was spelt wrong -- with an "I". I continued on in to find that my roommates were... an interesting mix: a leader and some highschoolers. After we did some icebreakers and then was introduced to a game that lasted throughout the duration of the retreat: each person had their own name tag with their name on it. Behind that name tag was the name of another person that you'd have to catch off-guard when no one else is around and tell them "Gotcha" to get posession of their tag. After receiving their tag, you look behind to see who your next target is. And of course, whoever that collects the most tags win. To my dismay, my name was spelt incorrectly beautiful on my popcicle stick name tag too. We had bedside fellowship and ended the day by 'mugged up' aka. midnight munchies. Lots of strangeness happened there...

The next morning... breakfast, devotions, workshop, lunch, then games/activites. We had to play a series of relays with eggs and water. The worst was probably filling the 2L pop bottle with water from a tub across the field with the use of only small sponges and/or yourselves. So we'd have guys doing the extreme -- dunking themselves into the pool and then churing all their clothes for water. For some reason it was not an easy task and we failed miserably. Other groups ended up using their (ew!) mouth to hold the water and other equally disgusting ways. As soon as that was over, it became a water fight where everyone was getting drenched, sprayed, wet.. yes, that was our cue to run. So! We went to the beach, Cresent Beach that is! I ended up hanging with some hongers and a CBC. The beach was really awsome at that time of day: the tide was REALLY low and it wasn't too hot either. We witnessed lots of dead mini crabs (perfect for Japanese soft shell crabbages? Mmm~) and very uneven land levels. The water would reach our thighs at some point and if we kept going farther, it would eventually drop to our calves. Though it was pretty gross seeing the tide wash up the beach, carrying a rootbeer-like brown foam with it. Haaha, sick.

After some free time, we had another talk session and wow was I really exhausted for some reason; I had trouble staying awake. We had dinner afterwards, followed by an interesting forum panel where we could annoymously submit Christian-related questions into for them to discuss and provide an answer for. As I mentioned in my previous posts, I'm having trouble feeling comfortable in an environment where everyone constantly swears on every other word out loud. I brought that question up for them to answer but it ended up getting mixed in with questions like "Is it ok for me to drink?" "Is it ok for me to go clubbing" cuz I guess they're meh, kinda related. My question didn't really end up being answered really well so I brought it up again during bedside fellowship... still not much good feedback.. but then again, come to think of it, there's no real problem solver for it. The bonfire started soon afterwards and everyone started gathering. Wow was the bonfire HOT. Everyone had to look away from the fire when they were cooking their sausages, fishballs and beefballs cuz it hurt -that- much. I had to pull my hand away from the fire every so often because I couldn't stand it myself. After everyone had their fill of half-cooked and/or cancerified snacks, a big group of us started to sing 90's retro songs [e.g. BSB, Spice Girls, etc]. So random, so good... fun times, fun times. Around 2am, we got kicked off the campfire area so everyone transferred to the kitchen instead. They started playing mafia, so I decided to hit the hay instead.

Morning rolls around... almost more than half the people show up late for breakfast because of sleeping very few hours. Devotions that morning was about how life is like snowboarding... the bumps may get you off guard then you land harshly. Then what? Yes, you keep on going. We finish the last of the talks in the morning and then moved onto packing up. Lunch comes and goes and we get treated freezies for dessert, even though it started was gloomy and started raining that morning. Then more than half the people disappear before the group discussion aka. feedback aka. reflection time to go watch the SOCCER GAME! We headed back home around 230, and I accidentally fell asleep in the car in the most awkward position, waking up with an extremely sore neck. Strange, I automatically woke up right at the turn to my house.

Overall, the food wasn't great. Someone said I complained too much about the food and then asked if there was anything positive about the food. Hm! No. Besides the fact that there is food at all. :b Yes, I admit I'm a picky eater. I blame it on the family for feeding me so well. XDD

Did I ever mention how much I love hongers? And how much they love pictures? especially WEIRD posed pictures? Hahah, those are fun times. The best photo pose was probably "the unison jump". Now, I gotta go ask for some of those photos. X33

Also, our new posed Ultimate game. We play as if we're too cool and too good to play Ultimate lol. To be the next best game ever.

Friday: Brooding about the fact that I can't be at AX this year. LOL, no just kidding really. I actually can't remember what in the world I was doing that day.

Saturday: Canada Day!って it didn't feel like it. The only Canada Day-ish thing I experienced was spot a girl with the Maple Leaf on her cheek at dinner at a Shanghainese restaurant.

Sunday: Strange, I only had 4 hours of sleep BUT I was so awake! Church was a breeze cuz I was wide awake the whole time! Then I had to suffer a bit at lunch with a group of church adults, but it was dimsum so it's all good. After food, me and Mo2 went out and did some window shopping in Richmond. It was already 7 when I got back to Vancouver when I realized I should go attend [or at least visit] the boss' BBQ. So I arrive, the door was wide open... I welcomed myself inside and I was greeted [eh? not really] by two screaming kids... ok. I peered inside, I didn't recognize anyone BUT I was soo sure it was the right house. As I went in deeper I was finally greeted by someone I know! Then I realized I was the last one to arrive and everyone else arrived at 4[!!!]. So uhh, in hoping to just drop by and then run away after... it was not as easy as I thought, as no one was willing to leave yet. So then I had to hang around there for a few hours, being pestered by other co-workers. I tried to flee twice, just to get stuck hanging around again. BUT apparently the boss has wireless UNSECURED internet, so I went and stole some bandwidth on my PSP while I was at it. New free access point to add to the list of reference.

Monday: [ffxi] A group consisted of WARs and BSTs attempted to create an Axe Burn Party but failed. The BRD (me) and the WHM were in attendance but the location sucked. The leader decided on the Valley of Sorrows over the most ideal place -- sky. Ok, I'm talking a bit big here since I have never been up to sky before yet but my bro's got it finished so hell why not advertise it in my search comments just in-case. I've yet to go up still though :( [/ffxi]

Later that day, me, Mo2 and Shi2 went to the night market nice and early this time -- 6:30 (well more like 6:45). And we already had trouble parking! We parked kinda far (but it was still free) and the night market didn't start until 7! A number of stalls didn't show up (well it was a stat and not everyone knows it opens on stat holidays) but it was still pretty full. We had night market food and did a little 'light' shopping (pretty light I think).

Today: I picked up FFXI: ToAU but I'm not going to install it. Haha, I'm retarded. I actually don't have any harddrive space and to be honest, I'm trying to hold back until I get that new computer. Ok, just another goood month. I can doo it!

And about work.. apparently we paid rent to the current building we're in right now so we're not moving until next month now. And also apparently the new building is just a giant gym-like place with nothing in it at all. I hear we have to build our own walls n stuff... wow that's a lot of shit to do.

Oh about my potential new job position. Well.. hm hm, Friday my manager tried to discuss it with me but I was busy the whole day [half on purpose] and I sounded kind of hesitant about it as well. He mentioned it to me originally via. e-mail and I would ask a bit about it like, question half-jokingly what my pay would be. The next thing you know, he'd be talking to me verbally out-loud, "What do you need all that money for!" (I just heard the other day that another co-worker wanted a raise to accompany his additional duties but he's not getting it...!!!) I realize he likes to joke around but he does it so often it's kinda frustrating and upsetting. In his e-mails he'd be calling me 'you evil @#$%' (<--literally written like that). I don't know about you, but I don't feel really comfortable about that, and yeah, I responded to one of his e-mails about how I wouldn't want a manager that's constantly mean to me but eh... I don't know if he really got the point. Well he's been busy with the new building papers and such with the big boss lately so I'm free from that for a bit. But I'll have to face it sooner or later... Well until then,

Astral Candacence

Maybe I should save the title for when I actually get the Aht Urhgan expansion? :b Ok so there's this thing called the "Astral Candescence" that the enemies want and come and steal during Besieged. The battle depends on whether the AC is in your own hands or the enemies. And that's all I really know... Some guy did a .dat hack and revealed the Astral Candescence is a door-like object with lighted orbs in the middle. Oh ya, I've been having trouble getting into parties lately. Is it that level already where parties are hard to come by? :(

Our alley neighbour across the street is finally moving out. After all these years of dealing with their adolecent kids: vandalizing our garage, setting our garbage can on fire, littering, ripping off our door numbers, hanging around on the back smoking up, parking their cars in front of our garage so we can't get in... the problems were one too many.

Someone else moved in in their stead. We've got someone's pet cat hanging around our house now. She likes to come by and visit, especially for my brother. My dad's presence itself scares her off though. How come I'm not surprised :b

Next Tuesday, it looks like our company's moving to the new location. The boss, or in fact ANYBODY of high status, hasn't announced it so I'm not sure what's going on. However, as gossip spreads in wildfire in a chinese company, it has reached my ears. It also seems like my days of being a Corrector is slowly coming to an end... as I've contacted the majority of the people on the 'waiting for payment' list and the new dispatcher girl quit rather suddenly the other day... looks like I'll be taking her spot. Whether that's a good thing.. I don't know, though this new manager I'm under is a nice, straightforward guy... I'm discussing this over with him via. e-mail right now and following up on the detail (e.g. PAY!, duties, etc..). Did I mention the keyboard at work is one of those really cheapy plastic ones (you can see/feel it) and ya, the shift key's problematic.

1% GST down this Saturday July 1st.
Computer to be ordered/bought end of July.
Brother's moving back upstairs at the end of July.

There's no room for my bro to come back!! No room! No rooooooom! My precious computer room.. my precious materialistic junk, where's there room for all of it???

Nightmares...

I've had nightmares two nights in a row.

Nightmare 1: KOTOKO had work at the same location as me. The location was my house but in the dream it wasn't my house. As soon as our work-related stuff was done, I wanted to approach her asap but when I got to her, I WAS TOO LATE. Someone else was already talking with her. Then as soon as the person left (which felt like a long time, cuz I paced around anxiously waiting) I approached her but she received a call from her manager (Kazuya Takase? LOL idk) that there was more work to be done. Right after I get a phone call from MY real work manager (the other branch's work manager actually) saying I had to get to work now cuz I was needed. I shook him off and said yes (we were speaking in Cantonese, so KOTOKO wouldn't of known what we were talking about). Then she starts humming the beginning of that Maiyahi song and I hummed the rest of the song with her (wtf??). After that weird moment (which wasn't weird at the time???) I began conversing with her. BUT FOR SOME REASON... I COULDN'T SPEAK JAPANESE PROPERLY! So then I bore her to death with my f-uped, choppy Wapanese. And she responds in an extremely uninterested tone (in JP: "Ah yes.." "Oh is that so..") while stretching, rolling her eyes, and the full works. Noooo~ I woke up so discouraged. Influence? The night before I made and played in a Japanese PT on FFXI, typing of course Japanese.

Nightmare 2: I don't remember it but... my moonroof got stuck, opened. Influence? I've been opening my moonroof cuz it's been sunny lately. My mom's car's sunroof got stuck (unopenable, if opened it will jam) when they forgot to close it up this one time and water got in. Paranoid dream.

Enough of the depressing nightmares.

A few random thoughts..
- Kwantlen's been sending me spam.
- I'm going for a desktop instead of a laptop for now. I keep aiming for highend and the laptops available here suck in terms of desktop-replacing highends. I can hold off until they bring over the better technology. Now I wait until end of July for the price drop.

[ffxi talk]
Full Bard AF1 set in a week and a half! We did all of it as Me (WHM75) and my bro (MNK75). Castle Oztroja coffer took the most time. Both key and chest searching. I may look good on the outside but I have gimped earrings and back. I was caught yesterday with them wahahaha XP~ Not to mention all my songs were constantly resisted. LOL that's so horrible. But I can't help it.. they're too expensive XP!

Player>> Party? Do you want it?
Me>> Yes, please.
Player>> Gather together. Aht Urghan Whitegate
Me>> NOooooooooooo!

Player>> Hello! Party?
Me>> Yes, please.
Player>> Gather together. Al Zahbi please
Me>> NOOOoOOooo!

(I didn't really NOoooo! like that but the inside was screaming.)
That was TWICE IN A ROW. NO PARTY THAT NIGHT AT ALL! I want the expansion so bad now XP! I hear the lag's bloody bad there (400-700+ people in the area at a time) so I might wait off on it until I get my new computer. I might just lag out and then that would defeat the purpose of me having the expansion to start with.
[/ffxi talk]

Oh, I will cut off here. Gunna go out n grab some grub.

It Hurts So

The second scrape to my car occured on a sunny but chilly early evening of June 15, 2006. The rim of my back wheel was hit harshly against the curb, stabbing me brutally in the chest as I witnessed the event. So yes, once again, I was not the driver. Fucking dad.

Anyways, the week flew by like it was nothing. Payday next week, I'm happy. The co-worker I mentioned that helped me out to save me from the hell at the warehouse... I'm grateful and everything and I sincerely appreciate his help but damn, he's so bloody annoying. He's an obvious flirt but he sucks at it. He's arrogant and stubborn.. prove him wrong and he says you're mean. The creepy thing is that his desk is right behind me so I'd hear him whisper my name every so often (?!). He'd see what I'd be doing on my computer and he'd be all nosey.. but it's not like I'd tell him though. Then he'd be bragging about something I wouldn't really even care about. I'm trying to be mean to him but he isn't getting the picture to gtfo of my face. :[

You know what else I hate about this job: Swearing. Everyone swears too damn much. And I'm afraid it'll get to me. You know how you talk to someone or hear someone talk too much, you start developing their habits? Yeah... I don't want to start swearing between, literally, every other word. Another thing: Smoking. I'm going to DIE from second hand smoking. They smoke in a connecting room, and it's not like the windows in that room are open or anything so the smoke travels all the way back into the main office area where the rest of us are.

About Telus. Our internet died on us the night before during Escort with my bro. At least I got the important part of my AF Quest done before that. But still. So much trouble calling them... and you know how they always think the user's internet problem is always the norm (e.g. reset router, reboot computer, etc.) yeah, hate it when I get one of those fags on the line for tech support. Yes retard, the problem was actually YOUR END NOT OURS, now go to hell plzkthx.

Okay, this post has been really negative. I'm going to flee now. /flee

Fucking Birds.

After work today I was greeted with six beautiful explosions of what looked like white paint on my car. By the time I went to clean it up, it had already gotten through to my paint >_<;; What a pleasant reminder of another reason why I hated this job. FUCKING BIRDS!!

My TGIF is ruined. Bah.

PT Frustrations and then some...

Wow I just had a really shitty FFXI party. Highest level member in the party complains about where to party and the fact that our party formation was incompetent. Then our rdm HID his information after I invited him to hide that he actually has a GIMPED SUBJOB (UNDERLEVELED AND SUBBED SMN)! Then he stands around and gets in the way of my songs. On the first monster, we link and then we have hell with them and die. Then the WHM gets pissy and wants to leave then suddenly the rdm "remembers" he has to wake up early tomorrow for a date (wtf?). So he tells us he's gimped and then warps back to Jeuno and disbands. Ughhh I should've known when I saw his rank 2. I even pondered over that too.. I was like, hmm this guy's probably inexperienced but then we shouldn't judge players by their rank since the rank itself doesn't always necessarily mean that the player is more experienced/skilled. We had no choice but to disband right after. Boo. Anyways, enough ranting for today.

SO! I have my hands on a MASTERCARD NOW!! YEY! Apparently the foreign exchange rate on this is a lot better than my Visa, so this'll be my online baby now. >:3

Also my Nao PVC 1/8 Figure that was on sale got bought. Bah! I hate it when I wait too long for stuff like this.

Start of the Month - Start of New Job

Okay so my first day was kind of strange. I took my time going through the fat pad of outstanding charges, often getting up to visit the Accountant for supporting documents and etc. But yeah, the companies I called... very angry people. A bit scary to talk to. In many cases, they all had really peculiar reasons for not paying up that, of course, I know nothing of.. which made things that much more difficult. I don't know the situation or circumstances and yet I come out of nowhere and demand for money, hm. No wonder they made 'someone else' do this = me.

My new work enviroment, however, is a nice change -- lively, BUSY, LOUD (everyone on the BLOODY SPEAKER PHONE XP).. My workspace, however, is very empty. I always have trouble with stationary, which I do not have! The computer's up, but I have no login information? :D? The mouse and keyboard's kinda old and ugry though. Ah well, I'll live.

The traffic's been sucking big time lately though.

And Then There's Work...

Another interesting turn of events. Near the end of the work day, Mr. Big Boss gets my manager to call me to go and meet him. I see the Boss and he leads me to THE MEETING ROOM (I've never been in the meeting room :0). And then he tells one of the outside staff to "call the crew" in. And suddenly I find myself in the middle of a MEETING! I was then surrounded by various department heads and we begin by discussing my new job... I won't go into the details but basically my new job is to chase after people who owe us money. The meeting itself had an extremely intense atmosphere [apparently the people who owe us money, owe us a lot.. in other words, this is no minor problem] and all eyes were on me, eek? But I came out of the meeting rather excited and scared at the same time! Totally unexpected and sounds really interesting and challenging. XD And better yet! I'm now part of the Courier-side's crew! In other words, farewell si-lai clan and your smelly warehouse! I get my own personal desk space again (yay!!) and I get to work with BETTER PEOPLE! Now let's just hope I can keep up...!!

Another Eventful Day

Relatively laid back work day. Really dead, sadly. Manager reading the newspaper, front desk lady playing tetris [badly]... Oh, I've come to good better terms with one of the old geezer/si-lai clan members after working with him, counting [EW!] inventory. Bloody hell, I have to do inventory every damn morning. But anyways, at the end of the day, I got a surprise visit from the big boss and we talked a bit. Apparently a guy from the courier side [whom I recently just somewhat made friends became acquainted with] actually recommended me to the big boss [after talking to the guy, oh, 3 times total? and half-jokingly told him to ask if they wanted any help on their side]. What a sweetie :D But then the boss said something at the end I couldn't hear him say, which I think was a key for me to get the position, so uh I'm kinda screwed. He repeated it twice already, as he was walking away and the stupid other guy was shrink wrapping some boxes loudly beside us so I couldn't get him to say it again. I'll get back to the courier side guy for helping me out though.

After work, I'm greeted with a giant spray-splatter of bird crap all over the driver's side. Mmm... beautiful work of art I tell you. Even more beautiful to clean. Sakuya's first real bird dropping experience. Sakuya (咲夜), my ride btw. Oh, her first "scratch/scrape" was done by my Sofa King dad when he decided to park a little too deep into the parking spot, scratching the very bottom of the front bumper with those parking logs. You can't see it, BUT I KNOW IT'S THERE! THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS! I almost cried, dammit. And my brother laughs.

Anyways, after staring at the bird poop with teary eyes... I rushed to pay my school commitment fee. I arrive to find out they decided to close their only long office hours day for a convocation ceremony. Mmmk, good job Kwantlen staff! I received my letter lThursday and the due date is Friday, which leaves only a mere week to get your commitment money in. That's kinda rushed?! Their everyday hours are 9-430, 'cept Tuesdays and I work from 9-5 so I'm supposedly screwed but I requested that I take the morning tomorrow to do it. Ugh, smart Kwantlen, smart. Too smart for me.

Got home late tonight. Rushed on FFXI, did Escort for WHM and AF1 for BRD. Paper Knife... waste of inventory space. Next week, something a little more worthwhile, AF2 and Coffers most likely.

Internet's been sucking lately. Either Telus or the router. Either or, it's interfering with my XPing.

Hmm... I've been so talkative lately.

Aghahgahgahg WORK

I swear I do nothing but rant about work.
I should be happy I even have a job to start with?

Naaaaahhh!

So at work today. Very productive.
When I got in, I took a deep breath and approached the manager. He shoves the inventory task at my face. I was like W-T-F! The only difference was he had some other guy help me. Ugggh I hate inventory. Whatever, I couldn't exactly 'refuse'. After that was done, he told me to go out and help scan stuff in the warehouse. This time..
I was like, "Uhhhhh...."
He then said as the eyes in his big penguin head were quivering, "Is that okay?"
"Uhhh..."
"Okay, Okay?"
"*mumbling-ish* I don't really have a choice now do I... Well, my position's office. Isn't there anything office-related for me??"
"No there isn't." And he LEAVES.

LEAVES ME THERE FOR THE REST OF THE DAY.
So for the rest of the day I surfed the web for notebook information. It's so awkward to be the only one not 'working', considering everyone's getting paid doing something or not. Feels a bit unfair. I sure felt it was unfair. Anything NON-warehouse task is pretty okay to me. I just dislike the warehouse.

I left asking the manager if there was anything for me to do tomorrow. He was like nothing except warehouse stuff.

Later when I got home, the big boss calls me and tells me there IS nothing to do [for now]. I reluctantly agreed to help out in the warehouse in the meantime. My own fault for not going out and finding another job so. I'll just have to deal with it as it is. Even though the si-lai clan still don't approve of me, the courier side employees are friendly, so it's all good.

Yeah about notebooks man. There isn't one out there that's POWERFUL ENOUGH! I originally wanted a VAIO cuz I'm loyal to Sony and I like the logo but their books aren't that great. I hate Acer. I see them at work. I hate Acer. For a good powerful notebook there's the Mac PowerBook but I don't like Macs. I've seen and used Simon's and it's... too annoyingly functionful [too many nick-nacks] and has too many annoying animated transitions n stuff. Just lots of junk I don't want, even though it doesn't take up any resources doing so. Then there's Alienware. It's powerful but expensive and their cases are ugly with their alien-theme. I then came to like one of Toshiba's notebooks but it isn't available in Canada right now. I don't especially like that particular book's processor choice but everything else is pretty good. But hey, what do I know.

Angel XX series is on sale.
Shinshi Doumei Cross 4 isn't in the catalog yet.

Some things to think about when I get paid.

Oh wait, the computers come first. Eh, or do they really.

More things to think about...

Work Days...

Oh yeah, ink poisoning.
Maybe.
I'm still blue ink stained.

So let's update on work! Work sucks! (when does it not, really? I do nothing but complain about work anyways). This whole week my manager was obviously having trouble finding things for me to do, so he would end up sending me to the warehouse to help out. My job is supposed to be within the office, NOT in the warehouse counting inventory and labelling. I especially hate inventory. I had to do it every morning, climbing and squirming everywhere, it's frustrating [not to mention I hate math :b]. It almost became my official morning task too. I think the penguin manager noticed how reluctant I am when he tells me to do something out there. It's quite obvious he's also reluctant to teach me anything [afraid I might just surpass him?]. As if he doesn't already have a bad impression of me, I called the Big Boss yesterday after work to ask about what the hell I'm exactly supposed to be doing and what my job really is. And yes, as I was initially informed, my position is in the office taking over his office job. The boss said he'd talk to him about it and make sure I'll be doing that Monday. Heh. I look forward to seeing how he's gunna teach me. I doubt his attitude's gunna change much though. We'll just see how this week goes...

And ya I have no life again... I think I mentioned that already. FFXI is my life. Yes, now bye!

A Down

So! Let's talk about my first day returning to work.

Okay so there was nothing really different about it except the people. Many new faces, LOTS of old ones haha... I wish I worked on the courier side, they're so much friendier than this crappy SI LAIっぽい side. The old geezers (yes, as a matter of fact, they're ALL old geezers working on this side) are SO FUKING 8 and can't stop gossiping and complaining and shit.. like, holy crap, stfu. My pay hasn't changed much since the last time I worked here.. manager position my ass, really. Let me just hope somewhere along the way my boss will notice and go "hey, I told her the pay is VERY DIFFERENT so I will keep my word and give her MORE!" hahahaha.. I wish. :( Let me put it this way, I'm getting LESS than my previous job at the spa and it wasn't that spectacular there either. Well, no point in fuming about it... I might ask about that second option [that somehow disappeared in the process] where I get to work at the new place instead. I'd rather; I currently don't have my own personal space, the working conditions are still dirty and my COMPUTER, OH THE HORROR. The keyboard is black... black due to the cummulation of dust and dirt throughout who bloody knows how many years. The warehouse workers come and use this computer once in a while too so you can imagine. Water and tissue didn't solve the problem, though I wiped up a LOT of black crap from it already. *sigh* Deja vu, I remember ranting about something similiar last year... So I wasted my morning staring at the si lai that's currently doing front desk/customer service, my previous position here cuz my manager says "I'm out of it" from not working here for so long. Yeah whatever, you just couldn't find anything for me to do. Afternoon came around and he throws me stuff he can't catch up on (which I've done before so it was nothing really new). Then halfway through the afternoon, he gets a phonecall from [I suspect] the other manager from the other branch that I thought I was going to work for talking about sending "someone" over to him when "he/she's" done and the penguin says "he/she understands but he/she's slow at it [wtf!] so I'll see when he/she's done". It felt like it was about me but there was no way I could finish over 200 pages of his leftover messed up job in time anyways.

I visited Daiso. I was in the stationary section and on my way to check out an awsome-looking permanent marker, it SPILLS ALL OVER MY HANDS! It was so damn permanent, soap didn't remove -any- of it. I was in the washroom for a good half n hour I think, trying to get it off. With a lot of rough effort (ouch my hands), I was able to rub most of it off. Now it's still stuck between the nails and the crappy spots. In exchange, my skin's peeling and it hurts a bit from the dryness. That reminds me, the ink won't come off my shoes [thank goodness I felt like wearing my old ones today] and my pants [thank goodness they're dark today]... [thank goodness it didn't hit the upper half of my body].

Why's it always my hands. My precious hands. Cuts and scrapes, dirty keyboards, really bad permanent ink... I have an obession for clean hands too. Bah.

The Ups and Downs of life. Today was quite a Down. Did I mention my gas receipt fell out of my bag, flew under my dad's car and I had a hell of a time trying to retrieve it?

Night Market Night Market NIGHT MARKET. LETS GO ALREADY!
